The Alzheimer’s Association is honored to have been selected as the beneficiary of the Jean ChinnMemorial Golf Outing - set to take place on Monday, August 27, 2018. The event will be held atRoyal Melbourne Country Club in Long Grove.
On behalf of the half million Illinois residents affected by Alzheimer’s disease and the more than220,000 living with the disease, we thank you for your consideration in supporting this greatcommunity event.
Bob Chinn’s family has lovingly expressed their involvement with the Association and desire tospread awareness and raise money for this debilitating disease in the attached letter. Please read theirspecial message to all donors and participants.
Alzheimer’s is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. And of the Top 10 leadingcauses of death, Alzheimer’s is the only one that cannot be prevented, cured or even sloweddown in progression. Since 1980, the Alzheimer’s Association, has provided reliable informationand care consultation; created supportive services for families; increased funding for dementiaresearch; and influenced public policy changes. The Illinois Chapter serves the more thanhalf a million Illinois residents affected by Alzheimer’s disease throughout the 68 county territory,including 220,000 people living with the disease.
The Alzheimer’s Association is a tax-exempt, 501(c) 3 non-profit, donor supported organization which uses 77% of all funds raised for programs, services and research efforts.The Association provides information on living a brain-healthy lifestyle and research into the cause,treatments, preventions and cure for Alzheimer’s.
