Landside areas-parking lots, public transportation and roads.

Airside areas-runway, taxiway and apron

Runway- is the area where an aircraft can land or take off.It can be grass , hard surface(asphalt) or concrete.Runway markings are white

Taxiway- used by the aircraft to get to and from their parking places and the runway.Taxiways markings are yellow . Apart from runway, taxiways use letters to show names.Aprons- are the areas where aircraft parks.Also vechiles can use aprons.

Airports can be towered ornon-towered, depending on air traffic density and available funds. Due to their high capacity and busyairspace, manyinternational airportshave air traffic control located on site
