ECMP Thin ClientPRESENTATION TO UIDAI
27 June 2019
Session Management• Every operator sync/online login will result in the creation of a
session with unique key• The OTP generated during the operator sync request should be
saved so that it can be used as a resume password during the login• The session will be created in the Integrity verification service and
stored in the session database• The session information will be encrypted with the resume
password and stored in the ECMP client• The operator has to enter the resume password for each login• The system validates that the operator has valid session during login
and if not, asks operator to do an operator sync
Session Management• During the login, operator will have to provide below details along
with the resume password
• Operator ID
• Operator Name
• Password
• Biometrics
• Resume Password (OTP)
• When the operator enters the correct details, he/she will be
allowed to login to ECMP client

Incorrect Resume Password● Incorrect Resume Password by operator
Incorrect Resume Password Attempts● Maximum 3 attempts are allowed for incorrect resume password
Synchronize Operator Details option ● Synchronize Operator Details option is added as part of
processes tab
Synchronize Operator Details Page ● The OTP sent to registered mobile number of the
operator should be used as resume password for login. Please remember the OTP received
Automated Packet Sync and Upload
• Packets will be synced and uploaded automatically in the background when the station is online(has internet access). The operator need not be logged in for sync/upload to happen.
• The client will no longer have the sync and full sync options on the client and this will happen automatically.
• The exporting of packets and upload into SFTP client is no longer required.
• The approval process has been removed and the packets will be signed by the operator session that it was created in.
• The status of the packet will start as “approved” by default and will change to “synced” and then “uploaded”
• There are additional validations to ensure that the packets are not tampered with.
View Enrolment Details
The view enrolment details screen displays the list of enrolments with the status
Packet Statuses• When the packet is created, it will be in Approved status• When the packet is synced to the enrolment service, the status of
the packet will be set as “Synced”• When the packet is uploaded to the enrolment service, the status of
the packet will be set as “Uploaded”
Release Impacts• Login with resume password (OTP)• Aadhaar SFTP client will be decommissioned• Manual Packet sync, Supervisor/Introducer end of day review has
been removed
• The Hold/Reject statuses have been removed
• Export of packets feature has been removed (The packets will be
uploaded from the same ECMP client where the packets have been
created)
Export Enrolment Details page is removed
