    Newcastle-Upon-Tyne UK. Newcastle-based nano-

    biotechnology firm Orla Protein Technologies Ltd,

    has secured a government investment of nearly

    700,000 to help its wireless electronic technology

    for the rapid detection of respiratory viruses such

    as Respiratory Syncitial Virus (RSV) and Influenza

    (Flu).

    The 1.1M development project VIRASENS, is

    part-funded by a collaborative R&D grant from theTechnology Strategy Board
