1992: FEMS Junior Euromat Conference series started at University in Lausanne, Switzerland and is organised since then every two years.
• FEMS Junior Euromat allows young scientists to present their research of Master, PhD or other research work mainly as Poster.
2016: this edition will take place at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and also organised directly by EPFL and FEMS.
• The 2016 edition, hosting three parallel sessions, gives enough space to oral presentations, besides the Poster sessions.

Sunday: Granta Design Workshop and Welcome
Monday and Tuesday: both short and more extended presentations in three parallel sessions, as well as with poster presentations.
Wednesday: FEMS Lecturer Award Session, Poster Awards, Science Slam and a Panel Discussion with stakeholders from industry, research and European organizations.
Thursday: tutorials offered by leading experts • small-scale mechanical testing, • powder technology and colloidal systems, • critical materials for a sustainable development, • how to publish research in high impact factor journals, and others
