Day 3 The Salt Cathedral Tour at Zipaquira

Departure from Bogotá by the central road to the town of Zipaquira, the drive takes around 1 hour. The Salt cathedral is built entirely of this mineral in a salt deposit of 2,764 meters above sea level, with an area of 8,000 square meters, and consists of three main buildings, one of these areas is the sanctuary where the altar and the cross, which is 16 meters tall, are built in salt.
