ORTOGRAFIA VERBELOR LA PERSOANA A III – SINGULAR:

REGULA EXEMPLU

1. Cele mai multe verbe primesc „–s”, fără nicio schimbare. I write – he writes

2. Verbele terminate în -ss, -ch,- sh, -x, -o primesc –es. I miss – he misses

I watch – he watches

I brush – he brushes

I mix – he mixes

I go – he goes

3. Verbele terminate în consoană+y schimbă y în i și adaugă –es. I try – he tries

4. Verbele terminate în vocală +y adaugă –s fără nicio schimbare. I play – he plays

PREZENTUL SIMPLU SE FOLOSEȘTE PENTRU A EXPRIMA:

1. acțiuni obișnuite, repetate, exprimate adesea cu ajutorul unor cuvinte/expresii:

every day/week/month/year; I go to work every day.

usually; He usually wakes up early.

always; She always helps me.

often; They often go to work by bus.

rarely/seldom We rarely drive to work.

on Sundays etc. They go shopping on Sundays.

2. adevăruri general valabile: The sun sets in the west.
