Class PlacementsOur process for developing classes for 2022 will start in the next few weeks and staff will begin looking at suitable groupings soon.We always take this responsibility very seriously and consider many variables – friendships, personalities, children’s learning, confidence etc. As part of developing strong relationships and maintaining continuity, our preference has been to try to place children with the same class teacher for a two year period. Due to Year 7 students moving to high school in 2022, we anticipate possible changes to our class structure format. This means that your child may have a new class teacher next year. We will continue to provided a short transition visit for children with their 2022 teacher in the last week of term 4.
We recommend seeing your child’s teacher if you would like to have input into this process. Discussions are based around social and educational issues for the child.
For parents who are unable to speak to the teacher or have confidential issues to discuss, short interviews with a member of the leadership team (Derek, Kathy or Jen) can be made from week 4 (starting November 1) on 8388 6116.
We are confident that this process assists us to place students in the most appropriate class.
P
A warm welcome back to our whole Nairne School community! We look forward to an engaging and productive final term for the year.

Student movement for 2022Do you know of anyone moving into the area who may wish to attend Nairne School - Preschool or Primary years, but have not enrolled as yet?
Please encourage them to do so as soon as possible! We'd love to have them join our vibrant school community!
Conversely, if your child is in Rec-Year 5 this year and will be moving schools for 2022, please notify staff in the front office as soon as possible to assist with our site planning for 2022. We thank you for your time with us and wish you well in the future!
Terrific KidsTerrific Kids is a character-building program that encourages kids to become the best version of themselves. Kids determine what being terrific means to them, then develop their own goals and use peer mentoring to hold themselves accountable for the actions they take each week. When a participant achieves their goal, her or she is recognized for being a Terrfic Kid. Congratulations to our ‘Terrific Kids’ for term 3! A big thank you to the Kiwanis for supporting this program!
Kind Regards,
Derek Miller | Principal
