PRECAUTIONS TO BE OBSERVED BY THE CANDIDATES: UGET-2015 Dated: 28/04/2015
Based on the authorization given by Karnataka Private Medical and Dental
Colleges Association to COMED-K, an Entrance Test for Under Graduate Courses
in Medical, Dental and Engineering streams in 14 Medical, 25 Dental and around
150 Engineering colleges in the State is slated to be held on Sunday the 10th May
2015. The Entrance Test Timings is a follows Physics & Chemistry (9:30 AM
to 11:30 AM), Mathematics (12:00 PM to 01:00 PM) and Biology & English
(02:30 PM to 04:30 PM). 1,08,486 candidates ( Medical / Dental 57,277,
Engineering 37,587, Both 13,622 ) are writing the Test in 148 centres across
Karnataka.
Online Test admission Ticket is available under applicant login of the
COMEDK website (www.comedk.org). While attending and writing the entrance
test, the candidates in their own interest are required to observe strictly
certain precautions which are illustrated below failing which they are liable
to be debarred from the Test Centres apart from inviting other disciplinary
measures.
Note: THE PROVISION FOR PRINTING ONLINE TEST ADMISSION TICKET WILL BE
DISABLED AFTER THE ENTRANCE TEST IS COMPLETED. HENCE THE
CANDIDATES MUST PRESERVE THE ONLINE TAT FOR THE COUNSELING PROCESS
AS IT IS ONE OF THE MANDATORY DOCUMENTS FOR SUBSEQUENT PROCESS.
2. Candidates should carry the following articles / documents while appearing for
the test failing which the candidates will not be allowed to appear for the test.

a) On-line Test admission Ticket (TAT) downloaded from the COMEDK web
site and printout taken.
b) Two Recent Passport size colour photographs
c) Black / Blue Ballpoint Pen
d) Unique Photo ID proofs in original which has been mentioned in the
Online Application form only.
Note: If the Photo ID proof selected in the Online Application Form (OAF) is
School / College Photo ID, the below mentioned documents must be
produced compulsorily:
a) School / College Photo ID in original. b) Photo copy of the School /
College Photo ID attested by the Principal of the Institution Last Studied
(2nd PUC / 12th Std) and c) Photo copy of the application form in the
physical format sent to COMEDK.
CAUTION: ANY ID PROOF OTHER THAN WHAT HAS BEEN MENTIONED IN THE ONLINE
APPLICATION FORM IS NOT ACCEPTABLE
3. At page 28 of COMEDK Brochure vide notification Dated 02/03/2015
(available on the Website) it has been indicated that Failing to provide the
unique identity proof when asked for would be one of the grounds for dismissal
of a candidate from a Test session.
FAILURE TO PROVIDE THE UNIQUE PHOTO ID PROOF IN ORIGINAL WHICH WAS
MENTIONED IN THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM WILL RESULT IN
DISQUALIFICATION OF THE CANDIDATE FROM TAKING THE EXAMINATION.
4. Malpractices and preventive measures adopted:
COMED-K recognizes that the prime object of the medical profession is to render
service to humanity and the Examination malpractice is a social evil and further
it decreases job efficiency leading to serious implications on the general quality
and standard of this noble profession. We believe that there is a chain effect of
examination malpractices on the educational system and the society as a whole.

5. COMED-K considers the following as some of the illustrations of
malpractices:-
(1)Impersonation; (2) Failure to provide acceptable Photo ID proof in original; (3)
Creating disturbance at the Test Venue; (4) Giving or Receiving unauthorized
help; (5) Using any forbidden / unauthorized testing aids, such as personal
computational devices, cell phones, Bluetooth Devices or any other electronic
gadgets etc., (6) Carrying unapproved materials like dictionaries, reference
materials, whiteners, extra papers, chits, notebooks/pads, Calculators, writing
instruments other than pen and pencil, digital diaries/PDA etc.(7) Leaving the
Test Centre before the stipulated time (8) Coming to the Test Centre after the
specified time (9) Refusing to follow directions issued by the Invigilator, etc.
6. Preventive measures adopted:
Block system of seating arrangement for the candidates.
Rigid Test Centre Management; apart from Chief, Deputy Chief
Superintendents and Invigilators there will be Centre Observers and
independent Mobile Squads to supervise the conduct of Test.
Insistence on Unique Photo ID proof in original as mentioned in the Online
Application Form.
Publishing photo and other details of candidates resorting to malpractices
on COMED-K web-site and requesting all Examination Authorities in the
country to ban such candidates from appearing future entrance tests.
