Port Arthur Historic Site The Port Arthur experience is unforgettable. Itinerary 2 Hobart to the Huon Valley Located only a short 30 minute drive from Hobart, the Huon Valley is full of beauty, charm and heritage. The natural beauty of the area is evident with the pristine rivers meandering through valleys boarded by World Heritage listed National Parks. The area is renowned for its produce, mushrooms, wine, seafood, fruit and gourmet delicacies. An easy day trip from Hobart or the perfect destination to stay, relax and explore.

Things to do and see… Tahune Airwalk Walk through the three storeys high canopy of a Tasmanian wet forest – home to amazing flora, including Eucalyptus Regnans – the world’s tallest flowering plant. The Tahune Airwalk extends for 597 metres, taking you on an amazing tour through treetops of naturally regenerated forests. Visitors can also Hang Glide, walk on swinging bridges or stay in the Airwalk Lodge.

Huon Jet Boats Turbo speeds and tranquil waters, hold on tight and head up the Huon River for the ride of a lifetime. With all major airlines flying in and out of Launceston it is a great option to fly in to Hobart and out of Launceston or vice versa. Launceston is a vibrant hub for food and wine, culture and nature. The region is packed with city and country charm, gorgeous old towns, excellent food and wine and beautiful scenic highlights.

Things to do and see… Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary Bonorong is not a zoo. They are a wildlife sanctuary specialising in the care and rehabilitation of orphaned and injured wildlife while giving you an up close and personal experience. Bonorong has one of the largest mobs of friendly, free ranging kangaroos and wallabies; you can meet them all by hand feeding them.

Shene Tasmania Historic Tours Located at Pontville, just 30 minutes north of Hobart; ignite your passion for Tasmania’s colonial past and Australian history with an escorted tour of the Shene Historic Site. Hollybank Treetops Adventure Hollybank Treetops Adventure is unmatched by any other tourism experience in Australia. After an induction and briefing session, tour groups are taken into the forest canopy to glide along a series of cables set among the treetops.
