    School Evaluation

The IB Diploma Programme is designed as an academically challenging and balanced educational program with final examinations. Its intent is to prepare students for future academic and professional success.

  • What is unique about IB

    Assessment?

    • IB assessments are rigorous, criterion based, and consistent• IB assessments consist of both final

examinations that are externally assessed, and internal assessments that are undertaken by classroom teachers and then moderated by IB examiners• All 4000 IB examiners are consistently “quality

checked” through a process of moderation that takes place throughout the assessment period• The IB conducts random inspections of

schools during exams to ensure adherence to exam regulations. • IB results for May exams are published on July

    6th

  • IB Assessment• The IB Diploma is graded over 45 points giving ample scope to differentiate

student ability• Marks for each course range from 1 (lowest) to 7 (highest)• The IB Diploma is awarded to every student who is able to achieve at least

24 points• Our IB Diploma achievement rate is consistent year after year• More on IB Diploma Programme assessment—Principles and Practice can be
