Example

Teaching students how to use quotes can be difficult at first. Each student must be taught a number of steps to follow the MLA format. One step is teaching the students how to write their quotes. Mr. Walker gives an example of quotations in his book. He states that “the example quote goes here” (164). Mr. Walker’s example is used to describe the form quotations should follow under MLA.

What step is bolded? What step is italicized? What step is underlined?
