Faith Essentials . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Oct . 23No class Oct. 16. Join Pastor Matthew on the essentials of faith--the foundational insights and practices that pre-pare us for a life well lived. We will gather Wednesday at 6:30 PM. Join us as we discus the topic Why did Jesus have to die? We will now gather in the Fellowship Hall.

Let Your Light Shine Costume Party . . . . . . . . Oct . 25Families join us at 5:30 PM with your children ages birth to 2nd grade for evening of fun fall activities. Enjoy a pizza dinner with friends and family and then play together! We will have bounce houses, face painting, tattoos, costume parade, crafts, toddler activities and everything you need to decorate your own pumpkin. Register online by Oct. 24 cost is $20 per family.

Prime Timers Event . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Oct . 29Call all those 55+. Join us for a tour of the new Bell Museum on the U of M Campus. The Bell Museum is of Natural History includes many beautiful exhibits of animals in their natural environment. We will be leaving at 9:00 AM. The cost is $14 per person and it includes a wonderful Planetarium Program.

5th & 6th grace Lock-Out . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Nov . 1Join Blake Wragge, Paul McKay, and your favorite high school student counselors at 5:00 PM. We’ll meet at St. Andrew, go to Big Thrill Factory for dinner and games, move on to Feed My Starving Children in Chanhassen, and finish the night at Vertical Endeavors in Bloomington. NEW! 5th & 6th grace Lock-IN . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Nov . 1This is a NEW opportunity for 5th and 6th graders who prefer a quieter night out with friends. We’ll start at Feed My Starving Children in Chanhassen at 6:00 PM, then return to St. Andrew for pizza and snacks, art with Kids Create Studios, cupcake decorating, yoga and time for conversation. Register online today the cost is $50.

PROP Food Drive Competition . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TodayJoin us for a friendly competition! 9:00 AM worship attenders and 10:30 AM worship attenders will compete to see which service gives the most PROP items during the drive. These items will be counted after each Sunday. The Middle School youth and High School youth will compete to see how many items they can donate to the PROP drive. TJ Helgren and Reilly Orner will assist in sharing the competition with their youth. Items will be counted following Wednesday evening events.

Hospice Care Ministry Training . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Oct . 14Volunteers will receive training from the leaders at Methodist Hospital. Training is about 1-4 hours per week. If you are interested in learning more about this new ministry, please contact Pastor Gail.

Sever's Corn Maze . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Oct . 17Attention all 7th and 8th graders - join us for some fall fun at Sever's Corn Maze in Shakopee! Invite your friends and spice up your MEA weekend with a corn maze challenge, food, pumpkin patches, a petting zoo, corn pits and more! Register online by Oct. 14 the cost is $35.

Nov . 2We will be executing Leaf Raking and Fall Clean up for Seniors from the H.O.M.E. Program who can not do the leaf raking with out help. This is a great event for families! 20-30 Something Trivia Night . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Nov . 5Join young adults from Lutheran churches across the Twin Cities for a trivia night at 7:00 PM at Broken Clock Brewing Cooperative, 3134 California St NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418. Join our new "Tech Team"! You will help with our new check in system - setting up computers/printers and troubleshooting problems. Additionally, you will receive training on the AV equipment and be available to help with sound projection needs around the building on Wednesday nights and Sundays mornings. We Have Your Kids Covered . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . If you are a parent and would like to participate in Wednesday night events the nursery opens at 5:30pm and goes until 7:30pm. Elementary-aged children can be involved in Children's Ministry programs with Arlene Flancher, our Director of Children's Ministry. Feel free to participate actively on Wednesday nights. There is something for everyone.

Sunday morning is an especially busy and meaningful time in the life of our congregation. Worship is growing, procedures are changing, and fellowship just keeps getting better. As a result, we have a huge need for more help in all of these areas. We want to invite you to consider assisting with communion on Sunday morning (training available), helping our Tech Squad with Sunday school sign-in, or serving treats in the fellowship hall.
