5. Staff Training - What level of training do you give various staff levels?? Basic Food Hygiene, CRB’s, Health and Safety, COSH, Manual Handling, Fire Safety, First Aid- Which of these do you provide as part of your induction training- Customer Service training- how do you manage this and ensure standards are consistent? - Playwork Qualifications- Do we are an industry pay enough!!! Does it pay to pay more??

6. New Party Theme’s - Who has introduced a new party theme since the start of the year?- Does it pay to keep changing your party offering??- Any new trends in party themes?? Glee, X Factor, Build a Bear?? - Anyone successful in gaining business from corporate clients, or older children perhaps?, adult parties?- How do you carry out the theme throughout the party…are theirsuppliers to cater for your requirements?- Does a good theme carry a premium??

7. Maintenance Procedures - What level of repairs do operators do for themselves?? At what stage do you get someone in and if so who is reliable? - Inspections checks – can they be improved? - Maintenance and inspections- Is there a conflict??- What is the level of spend on maintenance annually and how does it vary according to the age of the site??

Industry Standards - Child Protection Policy- What does yours say?- PRS and PPL license - CRB’s / ISA - Is the industry moving forward in terms of qualities of new sites?- Are customers perceptions of the value of soft play changing??- What’s the biggest pull (equipment wise) to your site?? - Any new products / innovations to increase secondary spend and does that increase customer loyalty??

1. Put time and effort into promoting your open day as the way of making contact with your local schools. Give them access to your free sessions… Use gatekeepers (CSP’s, PLT, LA, PCT, Governors, Parents) Branding in site and national PR to support here

2. Discussion of good practice in terms of linking with schools/ groups?How to get in and become a valuable school trip (educational element as well asphysical activity)

3. Overcoming barriers… transport ? After school… its flexible
