Overview

PowerVision™ Enterprise is a widely used and field-proven Integrated Security Management System that runs under the popular Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista Operating System.

The system allows user to control access for single-site or multiple-site installations anywhere in the world and provides users with the power and flexibility to exercise complete control over who goes where and when, and creates detailed card-holder records and customizes system responses.

Each system is scalable not only in hardware, but also software modules, from a single PC workstation to a multi-user, network-based enterprise-wide configuration. Workstations can be configured either in a LAN and/or WAN environment, offering extremely flexible enterprise-wide operations suitable for large corporate organizations with multiple remote sites or buildings.

PowerVision™ Enterprise operates with the powerful Terminal Control Units (TCU) amongst other ranges of equipment; card readers, alarm monitoring input units, output control devices, for example. PowerVision™ Enterprise can be connected to 128 TCUs in a single site, with each TCU supporting up to 16 readers. This means a total of 2,048 readers running on a central computer (maximum 255 sites).

System Highlights

Supports up to 500,000 cardholder capacityCardholder capacity can be expanded from 200,000 onwards based on operational requirements.

Supports Multiple Card Reading TechnologyVirtually any type of card and reader technology including proximity (RFID), contact and contactless smart card technologies are supported. A mixture of different card readers can be implemented within a single system.

Customized Reporting CapabilitiesA Report Generator program is able to generate a variety of customized and comprehensive reports. Users can choose to generate reports weekly, monthly or on a pre-defined date range.

Communications Connectivity via TCP/IPAll system software application modules communicate via TCP/IP, allowing any module to be installed in any manned computer or unmanned gateway server. Third party systems are integrated via separate middleware software without affecting the performance of any PowerVision™ application module.

System IntegrationPowerVision™ Enterprise provides seamless integration with multiple applications, such as access control of doors, elevators, car parks, alarm monitoring, guard tours, ID card badging, CCTV systems, BAS, IBMS, amongst others.

Multi-Tenant Application (with TCU 9000i only)Flexibility in database partitioning enables each tenant within a building to administer access control for their own doors and common areas.

PVDatabasePro™PV Database™ forms the core of the system as it contains all cardholder information as well as system programming parameters. Utilizing a powerful 32-bit ODBC compliant database engine, PowerVision™ Enterprise allows enterprise-wide data communications with any ODBC compliant database engine. ODBC connectivity also makes it possible to use third party report tools such as Crystal Reports to generate and customize reports such as statistical or graphical reports of system activity.

PV TransactionView™PV TransactionView™ provides a detailed online transaction view of all access control events, alarm events, system driven automatic events as well as operator’s actions events. The status message of a monitored point can be tagged to a graphical icon to allow easy layman interpretation at a glance. The system can also be configured to automatically display a pop-up photo image of cardholders based on specified events and/or locations.

PV CardMaster Plus™PV CardMaster™ allows images to be captured from a digital camera, scanner, web-cam or signature pad. Card personalization and printing are done in a single-pass process. PV CardMaster Plus™ is integrated into the security system database, and each cardholder is tagged to a graphic image file. Extensive built-in software tools allow card layout design, image replacement and editing, text and graphic placement, color selection, color mixing, etc.

PV MapEditor™PV MapEditor™ allows the creation of floorplans and area maps. Dynamic icons can be placed on the maps and linked to individual monitored and controlled points. Customized icons are also supported.

PV MapView Plus™PV MapView Plus™ provides a graphical display of floorplans and area maps. Icons representing doors, alarm points, cameras, intercom stations, etc can be placed on the floorplan, giving the operator a dynamic visual reference. Clicking on an icon allows users to perform functions associated with that point such as locking/unlocking a door, arming/disarming an alarm point, viewing live/playback video, answering/calling to and from intercom stations directly from the map. Dynamic icons animate according to their status.

PV TimeMaster Plus™PV TimeMaster Plus™ provides a comprehensive time management solution that computes the daily ‘clock-in/out’ times of employees. Transactions are captured, processed, and extensive reports are then generated to list the total working hours of all employees. Processed data can be converted into different data formats and exported to third party softwares such as payroll softwares, etc.

PV Messenger™PV Messenger™ provides a seamless interface for communications via email and/or sms. Emails can be activated based on trigger events and/or transactions under normal or alarm conditions. It can also send out heartbeat signals separately for hardware status. Each message contains the full description of the event or alarm, location, ID and date/time stamp. Emails can be sent to multiple parties and relayed to recipients via LAN, WAN and standard Internet gateways worldwide. The prowess of this function provides an unlimited means of information transfer to recipients.

PV CCTV Communicator™PV CCTV Communicator™ provides high-level integration with third party CCTV matrix switchers and/or the Network Video Management System. Video images can be switched and controlled seamlessly upon alarm activation or other specified transactions.

PVWebPro™PV WebPro™ allows card administration to be done via a standard web browser from any PC. Through an easy-to-use web interface, the operator is able to configure time-zones and holidays. Graphical maps with dynamic icons are also supported. Clicking on an icon allows users to perform functions associated with that point such as locking/unlocking a door, arming/disarming an alarm point, viewing live/playback videos, answering/calling intercom stations directly from the map.

PVFacilityBooking™PV FacilityBooking™ is a web-based facility-booking system

for shared facilities such as meeting rooms, training rooms, lecture theatres, gymnasiums, etc. The user would then be granted access rights to the booked facilities within the specified duration. PV FacilityBooking™ can be further integrated with a third party Facility Booking System.

PVGuardView™PV GuardView™ monitors the progress of guard tour routes. It supports multiple active guard tour routes and each route is displayed independently in its own window. Guard tour transactions are generated when a guard presents his card at designated readers. These transactions are processed and the results can be displayed either in textual or graphical view.

PV Visitor Manager™PV Visitor Manager™ offers a web-based Intranet solution that manages visitor schedules and facility booking. Employees who are expecting visitors to their facility will enter the visitor’s name and create a visitor management schedule in the system database, which is used by the receptionist for verification when the visitor arrives for the appointment. This process is then integrated to specific access control readers installed outside designated facilities e.g. meeting rooms, to allow staff to use the rooms for the duration of the meeting.
