To format your slide:1-Click layout in the Slides group. 2-Select your layout style.

To insert a new slide, keeping the same layout :1-Click the top of the New Slide button in the Slides group

To insert a new slide with a new layout:1-Click the bottom of the New Slide button in the Slides group2-Select your layout style

To delete a slide:1-Click on the slide2-Click the Delete button in the Slides group

Insert an image:1-Click Insert2-Select Picture, Clipart, or Shape from the

Illustrations group3-The size can be adjusted by dragging the handles

(dots around the picture). ALWAYS DRAG FROM THE CORNERS SO YOUR PICTURE WILL NOT BE DISTORTED.

To add notes to a slide (not viewable during powerpoint):1. Below the slide in the box—Click to add notes—do just that, click and

type

These notes are for the presenters use only. They do not show up during the powerpoint viewing.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Design Themes:Under the Design tab, in the Themes group, are predesigned themes to

use in your powerpoint. Using one of these themes will make ALL slides in the powerpoint uniform.

To use a design theme and still make some slides different: (THIS IS ALSO USED IF YOU ARE NOT USING A DESIGN THEME)

Adding a transition: (Animation when slides advance)1. Animations tab2. Transition to this slide group3. Select your transition—preview will be shown when you hold

your mouse on the transition.4. Adjust your Transition Speed in the Transition to This Slide

group.5. If you wish to have the same transition on all slides, click

Apply To All.

To animate an object:1. Click on the object (handles must be present)2. Animations tab3. Animations group, Click Custom Animation4. In the task pane on the right side of the screen,
