PLARIDEL
According to the notes compiled by late Fructuoso Guzman, the word “ Quinga ” which has traditionally been given to the town as its name, since the town’s founding , was delivered in the early years of Spanish occupation around the time the early settlers, whichwere composed of Tagalogs , Ilocanos, Pampangos, and Pangansinenses, were clearing the forested areas tha was the town under the orders of friar missionaries.
How Quinga Got its Name?
At the time, the area as a
vast undeveloped region covered mostly with forest, tall cogon grass and general wilderness dissected by two rivers, the rivers Angat and Tabang

Plaridel Church (at Present)
The first structure of the church was built in the period from Spanish era and was supervised, according to the marker by Rev. Fr. Pedro Vasquez. The od church in the year 1605 was transferred from its original site at Lumang Bayan in the present locale at the town;s Poblacion. The transfer was done under the overallsupervision of Fr. P. Diego Padro.

The park was built in honor of Plaridel’s former mayor, Honorable Jose who is very reknown for his kindness and genorosity to the people of Plaridel. During his term as mayors, he contibuted a lot in building some infrastructures like schools (eg. Bintog High School now Jose J. Mariano High School ) and the like. The par was built to give him tribute for his great contributors during his time.

In recogniton of the courag of the US Military Official John M. Stonsenburg, a historical marker was built at the spot where h fell during the battle known as “ The battle of Quingua ”. During this battle, the Filipino Katipuneros triumphed over the Americans.

The construction of the new municipal building started in 2000 during the term of the late Mayor Jaime J. Vistan and was completed and inagurated the term of Mayor

Covering a span of 11 hectares of land is only existing one of its ind in Bulacan, the Plridel Airport. It was constucted by United States Bureau of Aeronautics in 1935. the runaway had been a historic landmark for the the town of Plaridel, as it onc became a battleground between the Americans and Japanese forces of the 2nd World War. Togteher with three Filipino officers, the Americans were able to drive out the Japnse forces from the town. After several renovations , the Airports now has a nw Control Power and is above the ICAO CFR requirementss, making the town of Plaridel a stepahead of the rest.
