GAS TURBINE OPERATION
The turbine has a single-shaft design.
In single shaft the air compressor, the turbine, and
the gearbox are mounted which is mechanically
connected to the generator.
The turbine extracts the energy from the gas flow
downstream of the combustion section and drives
the compressor section. The turbine also drives the gearbox
The speed reduction gearbox transmits the power from the gas turbine to the electrical
generator.

➢The 33kV turbine distribution board (SYN-01) is installed in MediumVoltage Room.
➢The turbine power supply is distributed to 33kV Clean and dirty bus-bar of Substation via step-up transformer (11/33kV) of 20MVA
➢In Substation, we have the distribution of power for the whole plant.
➢The dirty bus-bar is connected to EAF, LF and StatCom
➢The Clean bus-bar is connected to all auxiliary load of the plantincluding rolling mill, ASP, IF, etc via step-down transformer (33/11kV)of 35MVA and 20MVA (dedicated for IF)
