What Happened this summer in Israel?

Page 2: Post disengagement

El Al added to my adventure

Page 3: Post disengagement

Check Points

• I got through 3 checkpoints in an average of 1 hour each.

• One we talked through, one we drove around, and one we got some help from a soldier.

Who is the threat to whom?

• Pleading & trying to convince the soldiers not to expel them.

Page 10: Post disengagement

Being taken away

• Notice how unconcerned the soldiers are about us.

A few words from the Gross Family

Page 12: Post disengagement
Page 13: Post disengagement

Over 98% of soldiers followed orders

• The Yassam (riot police) each received a $5000 bonus

• Why did they wear BLACK and march in unison?????.

• Some were more than happy and would have taken down the Wall, or shot us. Some were ARABS, and many were Christians.

Page 14: Post disengagement

But other soldiers…

• Fulfilled their orders even though they didn’t know why -

• 600 are under psychiatric care • 7 committed suicide so far

Page 15: Post disengagement

“This was my house”

Page 16: Post disengagement
Page 17: Post disengagement

The refugees – in the City of Faith

• As of today, 2/3 of the families don’t even have a temporary solution. The average temp solution is 120 sq. ft per person. It will be 6 more months until all refugees have temporary solutions.

• Final housing solutions will be reached within 4 years. The government is doing everything it can to do NOTHING, which makes the refugees split up, whereas they want to stay together.

Page 18: Post disengagement

More abominations

• NONE have received compensation• Almost none have jobs, schools or synagogues.• They must still pay for mortgages on their former homes.• As the gov’t is doing nothing, private individuals and groups are

picking up the slack, which makes future Expulsions easier.

Page 19: Post disengagement

“The Arab-Israeli conflict is closer to a resolution than anytime since Oslo”

But is this true?

Page 20: Post disengagement

1974 PLO “Stages” Plan• Article 2:

Establish, through terror OR any means, an “independent combatant national authority” on any “liberated” territory

• Article 4:Continue the armed struggle using the territory [liberated] as the base

• Article 8:

Provoke an all-out regional war to destroy all of Israel

Page 21: Post disengagement

“Palestinian” Representatives• Faisel Husseini:

• We distinguish the strategic, long-term goals from the political phased goals, which we are compelled to temporarily accept due to international pressure. . [Palestine] according to the higher strategy [is]: `from the river to the sea.' Palestine in its entirety is an Arab land, the land of the Arab nation."

•Nabil Sha’ath

•We decided to liberate our homeland step-by-step... Should Israel continue - no problem. And so, we honor the peace treaties and non-violence... if and when Israel says "enough"... in that case it is saying that we will return to violence. But this time it will be with 30,000 armed Palestinian soldiers and in a land with elements of freedom... If we reach a dead end we will go back to our war and struggle like we did forty years ago.

Page 22: Post disengagement

Typical Propaganda for PA children

(1 min)

Page 23: Post disengagement

And this is what the PA has created

•“What could be better than going to Paradise?” (2 min)

Page 24: Post disengagement

What the PA doesn’t tell it’s children

• PLO executive committee member Zuhir Muhsein stated in a 1977 interview with the Dutch newspaper, Trouw:

• "The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct 'Palestinian people' to oppose Zionism.“

• The “Palestinians” deserve to be told the truth by their leaders! They deserve to live in peace in their true homelands (or some may live in ours under certain conditions) and not to be used as pawns by their leaders and their brethren in a war to annihilate Israel.

Page 25: Post disengagement

What the PA doesn’t show it’s children

• Joseph’s Tomb - 1900 and today in Shechem (the Arabs now call Nablus)• This is the first place that Abraham stopped in Eretz Yisrael, and the Arabs

didn’t move in until the 20th century (for better economic opportunity – as the British kept the Jews on a strict quota but ignored illegal Arab immigration.)

Page 26: Post disengagement

Palestine Media Watch, cont.

• Gaza survey: “palestinians” were asked if they support continuing violence against Israel

• Pre Announcement of Disengagement - 38%• Post Announcement of Disengagement - 78%

• Itamar Marcus did his presentation to a Left wing Israeli group and the response was:

• “Now we know we have 2 enemies – The Arabs AND the Settlers”

Page 27: Post disengagement

“Gaza is still occupied”

• Abu Mazen (since the expulsion):

• Gaza is still occupied.• We won’t stop until all

occupied territories are liberated and our capital is Jerusalem.

• The “right of return will never be given up”.

(notice the code words)

Page 28: Post disengagement

And we gave our homes and our synagogues to who?

Page 29: Post disengagement
Page 30: Post disengagement

But does the left think everything is just a joke?

Page 31: Post disengagement
Page 32: Post disengagement

The new terror attacks are not a joke!

• 10/16 – Israel removed checkpoints and 3 Israelis were murdered & 5 wounded in a roadside shooting.

• Now Sharon is instituting separate road systems – ostensibly for safety – but really to facilitate the NEXT expulsion.

23 year old Kinneret Mandel (on the right) was murderedby Arab terrorist bullets.

For what?

Page 33: Post disengagement

Sharon & Abu Mazen worked together

• 10/26 Bus bombing in Hadera - 5 dead, 30 wounded• Sharon released the bomber from jail one month prior as a

“goodwill gesture”.• Islamic Jihad & FATAH (Abu Mazen’s group) claimed joint

responsibility!• IDF state “limited targets” would be hit in response!!!!!!!!!

Page 34: Post disengagement

So Why Did Ariel Sharon do this?

Page 35: Post disengagement

Sharon’s STATED reasons for Disengagement

• Because “you can’t see from there what I see from here”• Because Gaza isn’t really part of biblical Israel anyway.• To stay Jewish and democratic• We don’t want to rule another people• It’s good for security – we don’t want to have so many

soldiers guard so few Jews – to save one life is the greatest thing you can do. (Besides, if the Arabs act up, “we’ll annihilate them”!)

• It’s good for relations with Europe & the US• It’s good for the economy.• I promised “painful concessions” so no one should be

surprised (I’ve been a settlement advocate, so that let’s me know what’s right.)

• We have no other choice. (If we don’t do this, then we’ll probably be forced to do something worse, like The Geneva Accords.)

Page 36: Post disengagement

IDF Chief (forcibly retired) Moshe Ya’alon (6/05)

• He confirmed that he first heard about Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s plan to expel Jewish residents from Gaza and northern Samaria over the Internet.

• He cautions that "Disengagement" would be a tailwind to Palestinian terrorism, bringing Kassam missiles and homicide bombing to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Kfar Saba and other major cities. He warns that the Soft Belly of Israel would become a regular target for Palestinian terrorism.

• "Disengagement" would demolish recent Israeli achievements in its war on terrorism, and would produce a wave of terrorism, which would dwarf the one that has plagued Israel since the conclusion of the 1993 Oslo Accord.

Page 37: Post disengagement

Security-wise, can Israel do this Disengagement?

• Israel needs “Defensible Borders”. (and all UN resolutions permit this)

• 67 US Joint Chiefs Report (and 74 Military Staff College Report) – Giving up Gaza will bring 5x the terror and cost 3x as much to defend

• Judea/Samaria - can only give up a small section due to topography. Not time to mobilize without this land.

• Technology can’t ever take the place of 3000 ft mountains.

• The mountains are the ideal defense or the ideal platform to attack from.

Maj-Gen (ret.) Yaakov Amidror

Page 38: Post disengagement

Meir Har-Tzion, famed fighter & Sharon friend of

50 years (2/23/05)

• Moshe Dayan referred to him as the bravest Jewish warrior since Bar Kochba (in 135)

• He’s a staunch secularist (Left winger), and he decries the lack of social responsibility of the Left, has started a secular anti-Disengagement movement, and he slams Sharon:

• “Sharon has gone crazy”.• The Disengagement plan is a “holocaust”• “Soldiers should willingly go to jail rather than fulfill such illegal

orders”• “If a Palestinian state is established here it will be the beginning

of the end for us”

Page 39: Post disengagement

Sharon says: “We want to stay Jewish & democratic”

• Sharon uses the Palestinian Authority’s population statistics which show 3.83 million Arabs living in Judea/Samaria & Gaza

• However, according to a January, 2005 study led by former Israeli Ambassador Yoram Ettinger, there are only 2.42 million Arabs in these areas.

• This leaves a Jewish majority of 60:40% in all of Israel (instead of only 52:48%)

• Or, in absolute terms, there are 1.75 million more Jews than Arabs, instead of only .34 million

• Therefore, the “demographic time bomb” is not ticking as fast as it is portrayed by Sharon.

• However, millions of Arabs will come into the areas given up by Israel. THIS WILL BECOME A MAJOR PROBLEM.

Page 40: Post disengagement

Ariel Sharon said - 2003

• “Never. Netzarim is like Tel Aviv”

- said in response to Amran Mitzna’s request for Sharon to evacuate 1 settlement (Netzarim) for him to bring Labor into the government after Sharon had trounced Labor.

Page 41: Post disengagement

Sharon vs. Democracy• 1- He ran on a re-election platform AGAINST Unilateral Disengagement (this is why

he trounced the Labor candidate Mitzna), but within a few months after he won, he changed 180 degrees and advocated Unilateral Disengagement. THIS DISENFRANCHISED 63% OF ISRAELI JEWS WHO VOTED LIKUD OR TO THE RIGHT OF LIKUD. (69 OF 112 JEWISH SEATS IN THE KNESSET. Including Shinui, 75% of Israeli Jews were disenfranchised.)

• 2- He called a Likud referendum to vote on his disengagement plan. He said that he‘d abide by the results. He lost and decided to forget about abiding by the results.

• 3- He changed the punctuation marks in his plan and called it a new disengagement plan, and in order to get a majority in favor of it in his cabinet he fired 2 cabinet members.

• 4- His party voted to forbid him to enter into a government with Labor, and he stated that he will not abide by this result.

• 5- He threatened to and then fired 2 ministers who voted against Disengagement during the first vote in the Knesset.

• 6- He formed a new government with Labor, which advocated Unilateral Disengagement at the last election.

• 7- The Bill to implement the expulsion plan passed on the vote-change by Arab MK Mohammed Barakeh, who openly identifies himself as a palestinian hostile to Israel and Zionism

• 8- He refused to call a National Referendum on the topic, and he refused to call new elections.

Page 42: Post disengagement

The one place in the world where Jews have NO Human Rights

• June 12, 2005 - Voice of Israel (government radio)

• Reported that the Israeli Supreme Court had declared that the Israel Government Disengagement Plan, while violating human rights and civil liberties, was legal because Israeli human rights and civil liberties law simply do not apply to Israeli taxpayers and Israeli law abiding citizens who live in Judea, Samaria and Gaza – since Israel has not yet annexed these areas.

• The Israel High Court of Justice therefore declared that Israeli citizens who live in Judea and Samaria have no human rights and no civil liberties.

• In other words, the only place in the world where Jews have no "de jure"human rights and civil liberties would be in Judea, Samaria and Gaza.

• Has anyone heard from the ADL about this? Certainly not!

Page 43: Post disengagement

Sharon’s (potential) UNSTATED reasons for Disengagement

• He wants a legacy.• This is his real ideology – he grew up as a Mapainik

When he started in politics, Labor refused him so he started his own party, which failed. All of his staff went to far left parties. Likud was the only party that would have him. Now he wants to be back in step with Labor.

• Conflicts of Interest:– Dov Weisglass (Sharon’s top advisor): owns 15% of Arafat’s casino in Jericho, and is

the lawyer putting the deal together with the PA for Marriott to build a casino on the beach in Jewish Gaza

– Jonathan Bassi (Head of Compensation Office): owns export co’s that will make millions when their competitors in Gaza are put out of business (as he stated they would be)

– Shimon Peres: In 98-99, his EU funded “Peace Center” invested $100 million in a PA development fund and $64 million in Pal-Tel (the PA’s phone co.) He has made many millions of dollars and stands to make much more post disengagement. These conflicts are currently being investigated by the Knesset, but certainly nothing will come of it. He will also profit greatly from the Desalination plant which will be needed when this plan destroys our sources of water in the northern Shomron.

• Avoidance of Indictment for himself and his sons Gilad & Omri– The Greek Island Casino Affair (on hold for now, but can be re-opened at any time) Gilad

accepted $400k to “consult” which ostensibly included getting his father’s help to lobby Greece to permit a casino to be built. (Sharon also approved the pro PA Greek Orthodox patriarch because the church owned the island , even though he stated he would donate all church land holdings to the PA)

– 2 Campaign Finance Scandals – Omri Sharon recently indicted, but nothing will happen until after Disengagement is supposed to occur (to keep pressure on Ariel Sharon?).

Page 44: Post disengagement

And where did the Israeli Media Stand?• Top Journalist Nahum Barnea Confesses: The Media Pushed

Disengagement (3/11/05)

• Writing in the most recent edition of the monthly media publication "The Seventh Eye," Barnea stated:

• “that Israeli journalists made a mistake that must now be acknowledged.”

• “that most of the Israeli media has acted more like the "guard dog" of the disengagement plan than that of democracy.”

• "There is no argument that the tone in the Israeli media is pro-

disengagement,"

• “had the Prime Minister presented a program to strengthen Jewish communities instead of dismantling them, the media would have treated him with cruelty."

Page 45: Post disengagement

So What is really happening? Haaretz Editorial - July 8, 2005

• Haaretz said that they know this plan is

• Bad for security• Bad for the economy• And• Bad for the “peace process”

• But they still favor it. WHY???

Page 46: Post disengagement

So why did Haaretz favor Expulsion?

• The disengagement of Israeli policy from its religious fuel is the real disengagement currently on the agenda . On the day after the disengagement, religious Zionism's status will be different. The real question is not how many mortar shells will fall, or who will guard the Philadelphi route, or whether the Palestinians will dance on the roofs of Ganei Tal. The real question is who sets the national agenda.

Page 47: Post disengagement

2 “Pro-Disengagement” Journalists Confirm MK Hendel’s Theory (6/05)

• Raviv Drucker of Channel Ten TV and Ofer Shelach of Yediot Acharonot, who personally support Disengagement, claim in their June, 2005 book “Boomerang”:

• That Based on talks with persons very close to the Prime Minister,

• the Disengagement Plan was hatched up simply to avoid Sharon's indictment in the Greek Island scandal.

• LET’S TAKE A LOOK…….

Page 48: Post disengagement
Page 49: Post disengagement

But is this really “Disengagement”?

• Israel will continue to provide utilities to palestinian areas and will not respond to terrorist acts by shutting off the power and/or phone lines.

• Israel will increase greatly the quota of palestinian “day workers” allowed into Israel

• Israel will provide road infrastructure connecting Gaza with Judea and Samaria.

• Israel will continue to bankroll (40 million shekels per month) AND ARM (per Clause 5) the terrorists.

• All of these items are conditioned on nothing.

Page 50: Post disengagement

Why is this plan bad?• It sets EVIL precedents:

– It is now acceptable to ETHNICALLY CLEANSE Jews. – It rewards the side that started and lost multiple wars.

• The US backed off comments that Bush would support Israel keeping blocks of “West Bank” settlements.

• It doesn’t address the palestinian “Right of Return”• Weapons smuggling into Gaza will increase tremendously. • Weapons smuggling will move then to Judea/Samaria,

where the Intifada will re-start• Gaza will become the worldwide safe harbor for terrorists.• Israel agrees again to the PLO operating an army. • It rewards terrorism, which will bring us more terror.

Page 51: Post disengagement

More reasons this plan is bad:• As we just saw, the only things being Disengaged are the Jews from their

homes and Israel from Zionism and Judaism. (And why can’t these Jews stay in their homes even if the political lines are redrawn?)

• Israel has provided an undertaking to transfer the homes of the settlers and other buildings to the Arabs by way of the World Bank.

• The plan is anti-democratic. Sharon ran for office OPPOSING just such a plan being touted by the Labor Party under Amram Mitzna. Voters elected Sharon on that platform and because they opposed Mitzna's plan, yet here is Sharon implementing it by fiat.

• It will cause terrible harm to the economy.

• It will have no positive diplomatic effect. It will actually create more pressure on Israel to further retreat.

• The plan may have been put through LEGALLY, but it is certainly NOT LEGITIMATE.

• As it is devoid of legitimacy, it is causing a horrible rift in the country.

Page 52: Post disengagement

But Worst of All:• The Disengagement Plan

RELINQUISHES the Jews’ legitimate biblical, historical and legal claims to the Land of Israel.

By giving up these claims, we admit we don’t belong there. And by extension, we give up our divine mission to set up a Jewish society in the Land of Israel which is supposed to be a light unto the nations.

If it is true that our claim is false, then we should leave, as we would correctly be called “colonialists”.

However, we are called “Jews” because we are from “Judea”, and they are called “Arabs” because they are from “Arabia”.

So who’s land is it really???

It’s OURS! So we have to keep it!!

Page 53: Post disengagement

So who are we? – Let’s read a letter from an Expellee.

• Are we Jews or are we Americans?

• What does that mean?

• Do we support uncomfortable things that are right? (Even if they feel too Jewish?)

• Should we realize what we say in the liturgy and act on it, or is the liturgy itself wrong?

Page 54: Post disengagement
Page 55: Post disengagement

What do we want for Israel & What is our connection to it?

• A state like all the others, or a Light Unto the Nations?

• Does it belong to us? Should we just let the government do whatever it does, or should we have “red lines”?

• Is Israel the new Golden Calf? Is the IDF the Golden Calf? What is the real thing?

• Why did Sharon choose these people to expel?

Page 56: Post disengagement

Tenets of the “Religious Zionists”

• Torah

• Land of Israel

• Love of ALL Jews

Page 57: Post disengagement

Does G-d get involved?

• How about all of Israel’s wars, particularly 48 and 67?

Page 58: Post disengagement

The 6 day War

• Israel took down the flag on the Temple Mount after 2 hours….and

• Offered ALL the land back to the Arabs 10 days later.

• We turned our back on G-d, on our heritage, and on common sense, too, and caused all of our PR problems.

• What kind of state did the Israeli leadership want?

Page 59: Post disengagement

A word about Miracles

• During the Iran-Iraq war, Iraq fired 40 scud missiles at Tehran, which killed 2000 people.

• During Gulf War I, Iraq fired 12 scuds into Saudi Arabia, which killed 200 people.

• During the same Gulf War, Iraq fired 39 scuds into Tel Aviv, which only killed 1 person (which was 1 too many).

• This defies logic, doesn’t it?

Page 60: Post disengagement

Miracles in Gush Katif• From the outbreak of the new terror war in

September, 2000 until 4/1/05 over 5,800 mortars, rockets and missiles have been shot by neighboring Arabs into Gush Katif.

• Gush Katif houses 8,500 Jews in an area of 8.7 square miles.

• Only 1 person has been killed by these mortars.

• Isn’t it OBVIOUS that the Jews of Gush Katif and of Israel are being protected by a higher power?

Page 61: Post disengagement

Those who bless the Jews…

• From 1991-1999, the US suffered bigger natural disasters each time it pressured Israel to surrender land (each one was the largest in US history in it’s category.)

• Hurricane Andrew• The Perfect Storm (hit Bush Sr.’s house)• Midwest Flooding• Hurricane Georges• Most powerful tornado ever…..and more

Page 62: Post disengagement

G-d’s Wrath?

• Tsunami in Malaysia – 150,000 dead

• (PM said to destroy Jews)

• Katrina in the US – largest natural disaster in US history

• (Rice said Israel must expel more Jews & Bush paid for this.)

• Earthquake in Pakistan – thousands dead

• (Musharraf said Israel must do more.)

Moshe Feiglin, Manhigut Yehudit (Jewish Leadership)

• Trying to turn “The State of the Jews into the Jewish State”.

• Co-founded the Zo Artzeinu (This is Our Land) civil disobedience movement after Oslo. Endorses solely non-violent civil disobedience AND REFUSAL TO SERVE.

• Now Manhigut is trying to take over the Likud from the inside, and then take control of the state. They are the largest faction inside the Likud.

• This is to avoid a repeat of when Peres was defeated, and Netanyahu became just as bad.

Page 72: Post disengagement

What was really “disengaged”?

Page 73: Post disengagement

Moshe Feiglin, Manhigut Yehudit

• Upon seeing that the Israeli left and Sharon’s “right” have voted in favor of Disengagement, Mr. Feiglin deduced the following:

• a)         The solution is disengagement.• b)         There is no moral problem in transferring

populations. (note: The left has been shown to have been less than truthful when they said they were against transfer.)

• c)         (Therefore), the question is not whether it is permissible to uproot a population, but which population to uproot. In other words, to whom does the country belong?

Disengagement Checklist

• Security: BAD

• Diplomacy: BAD

• Economy: BAD

• Morality: BAD

• Legitimacy: BAD

• Damage to the Nation: IRREPARABLE

Page 75: Post disengagement

IF YOU REMEMBER NOTHING ELSE ABOUT THIS PRESENTATION,

• Remember this:

• WHAT’S IN IT FOR US?

• Unfortunately, the answer is:

• ABSOLUTELY NOTHING !!!

Page 76: Post disengagement

EXCEPT• We will receive:

• A lot of dead Jews

• And:

• A brand new terror war in and from Israel’s heartland with rockets that will hit Jerusalem daily.

• And we’ll be left with:

• An indefensible country teetering simultaneously on the edges of implosion and destruction.

Page 77: Post disengagement

Ariel Sharon - 2001

• The great question of our day is whether we, the Jewish people of Israel, can find within us the will to survive as a nation that is necessary to solve the problems confronting us.

• From his autobiography, p. 556

Conclusion:

The Disengagement Plan

is the next step in the phased plan for

ISRAELI DEMOCRACYISRAELI DEMOCRACY

How Does It Work? How Does It Work?

Prepared by the Media and Public Affairs Department of the Consulate General of Israel in New York

Page 84: Post disengagement

Chaim Weizman would certainly like Sharon’s plan

• Weizman, before the British Royal Commission, 1937 on the impending Holocaust: “The hopes of Europe’s 6 million Jews are centered on emigration.” But when asked if they could be brought to Palestine, he answered, “No… the old ones will pass. They will bear their fate or they will not. They are dust, economic and moral dust in a cruel world; only a branch shall survive. They have to accept it; if they feel and suffer they will find the way – Be’acharith hayamim (when the Messiah comes, all the dead will be revived) – in the fullness of time. There is no place for the European Jews in Falasteen or in the Land of Israel/ Eretz Yisroel for that matter…

• The European Jews shall die. They should accept it, and forget about emigrating.”

• [Jews like Chaim Weizman who let their fellow Jews DIE without trying to save them would like Sharon’s Disengagement Plan]

Page 85: Post disengagement

David Ben-Gurion, et al, would certainly like this plan, too

• The “Saison”: BG handed 250 Jewish freedom fighters to the British in the early 1940s who hung 12 of them (and informed on another 250)

• The Altalena: In 1948, BG & Rabin MURDERED 16 defenseless Jews swimming to shore after initially giving approval for the ship to arrive.

• The Kastner Affair: The Moshe Sharett government fell in 1955 after it was concluded in Israeli court that the Jewish Agency (under BG & Sharett) refused to help the not yet doomed Jewish community of Hungary, and even colluded with the Nazis to some extent to save Jewish Agency officials at the expense of hundreds of thousands of “regular Jews”.

• The Yemenite children Affair: The early Israeli government under BG took thousands of Yemenite children from their parents and placed them with secular Ashkenazi families [probably to de-Judaize them].

• The Temple Mount: 2 hours after its conquest by the IDF in 1967, Moshe Dayan ordered our flag to be removed, and he handed control of the site to the Muslim Waqf. [In essence, this said to the world that we RENOUNCE our claims to our holiest site!! And the same was done to our biblical heartland.]

• [Jews who could behave with such hatred and contempt for fellow Jews and for Judaism like this would certainly STRONGLY SUPPORT Sharon’s Disengagement Plan.]

Page 86: Post disengagement

July 13, 2005 Israel closed the doomed areas

• The Yesha Council responded to the closure stating

• "This is the first time in history that a Jewish Prime Minister has placed a siege on a Jewish town and declared that part of the Land of Israel should beclean of Jews."

Page 87: Post disengagement

Let’s take a moment and appreciate our wonderful

police officers

Page 88: Post disengagement
Page 89: Post disengagement

Besides stopping buses

• The Knesset Law Committee viewed a June 29 film of police beating an anti-evacuation protestor, and it demanded an investigation.

• The film showed police severely beating Akiva Vitkin, who was trying to block traffic on June 29 in Ramat Gan, adjacent to Tel Aviv.

• One policeman motioned to his colleagues to help beat Vitkin, and they sat on him and stuck fingers in his nose and mouth, causing excessive bleeding and facial injuries.

Page 90: Post disengagement
Page 91: Post disengagement

How does the Supreme Court feel?

• Supreme Court Justice Ayala Procaccia remanded to prison a 14-year-old girl who participated in a road blocking until the end of proceedings.

• Proceedings like this typically take 18-24 months. This decision was unprecedented, even for Israel.

Page 92: Post disengagement

But does the public even know about REAL VIOLENT PROTESTERS

• In July, left-wing “anti-security fence” protesters took out a soldier's eye and then killed another one in separate violent protests.

• Why has the government AND the media said NOTHING about these horrific incidents?

• Not to mention that Ariel Sharon does NOTHING when 2 Gush Katif residents are MURDERED by Arab terrorists 7/22 on their way into Gaza.

Page 93: Post disengagement

What happened at Kfar Maimon? 7/21

Page 94: Post disengagement

Another look at the “Violent” Protesters

Page 95: Post disengagement

Let’s look at the Israel Police Force wanted to “deal with” Kfar Maimon

• Channel 10 news broadcast on July 22 the discussion

between the head of the police southern district, Nissan ("Niso") Shaham and Roni Ohana, the Commander of the Border Police (southern command).

• Shacham  is seen here giving instructions to Roni Ohana, to break up the ORANGE demonstration in Kfar Maimon.

• Let’s see how the Israeli Police like to deal with Jews who love Israel and demonstrate peacefully.

“The Arab-Israeli conflict is closer to a resolution than anytime since Oslo”

But is this true?

Page 118: Post disengagement

How did Oslo come about?• Rabin made an election promise NEVER to negotiate

w/ the PLO (even though it was illegal to have contacts with them so this promise wasn’t necessary)

• But his reps at that moment were in Cairo making a deal – The Israeli Arabs would vote for Labor (Rabin) and in return

Labor would give Arafat “Oslo”.

• Labor won with a minority government• Rabin pushed through Oslo by getting 2 MKs to switch

their votes by giving them Mitsubishi cars• These accords were therefore NOT legitimate.

Page 119: Post disengagement

Israel’s Commitments under Oslo

• Recognize the PLO, to be called the

Palestinian Authority (PA).• Transfer land: exact amount to be

determined in interim deals• Allow a PA police force of 10,000,

without known terrorists • Give the PA small weapons (rifles)

to help them police and destroy terror • Educate the Israeli public for peace

• ISRAEL FULFILLED ALL OF IT’S OBLIGATIONS

Page 120: Post disengagement

• End PLO Terror

• Destroy Terrorist Organizations

• Educate for peace, no incitement

• Preserve Holy Sites

• Recognize Israel, change Charter

• Work out conflict with dialogue only

• THE “PALESTINIANS” DIDN’T FULFILL ANY OF THEIR COMMITMENTS

• They didn’t even ATTEMPT to fulfill any of them!

“Palestinian” Commitments

Hamas. They won't dream of using it against us, since they know very well that if they use these guns against us once, at that moment the Oslo Accord will be annulled …” Israel Television, Channel 1, March, 1994

Rabin: Conditional Deal

“Stop being afraid. There is no danger that these guns will be used against us. The purpose of this ammunition for the Palestinian police is to be used in their vigilant fight against the Hamas.

Page 122: Post disengagement

Educate for Peace ?

• Peace with Israel is not mentioned.

• The State of Israel is not recognized.

• Palestine covers all of Israel.

• Palestine has an undivided, exclusively Arab

Jerusalem as its capital.

• No Jewish historical connection to the Land, no Holy

Sites.

Center for Monitoring the Impact of Peace, a non-gov., non-profit org www.edume.org/reports/index.htm

A study of 60 PA textbooks revealed*:

Page 123: Post disengagement

What Israel Received from Oslo:

Page 124: Post disengagement

Summary of Oslo• Rabin lied to his constituency and made an illegal pact

with an enemy in order to get elected• Israel then made commitments to the Arabs and lived

up to them• “Palestinians” made commitments to Israel and didn’t

uphold them• More than double the amount of Jews were murdered

during the “good years” of Oslo than during the 1st intifada. (as Rabin’s “sacrifices for peace”)

• Israel now faces a terror state inside its borders.• Israel is now seen by the world as the “bad guy”• Worst of all, due to the Israeli “peace education”,

many Jews now believe Israel doesn’t have the right to its own land, and must relinquish it.

Page 125: Post disengagement

But why didn’t the “Palestinians” fulfill their obligations?

Page 126: Post disengagement

ISLAM

• 610 - Muhammad receives revelation - founds Islam • 622 - The Hegira from Mecca to Medina• 628 - Muhammed makes “hudna” with Koraish • 630 - Muhammed conquers Mecca• 632 - Muhammed dies - followed by the “Rightly guided Caliphs”• 638 - Muslims conquer Palestine• 661 - division over accession to Caliph produces Sunnis & Shias

Page 127: Post disengagement

The 5 Pillars of Islam

• Faith (Shahada) - only Allah

• Prayer (Salat) - 5x/day• Alms (Zakat) - 2.5%

• Fasting (Sawm) - 30 days of Ramadan

• Pilgrimage (Hajj) - once to Mecca during lifetime

Page 128: Post disengagement

“The 6th Pillar” of Islam:Jihad

- Qur’an: Sura 9, verse 29

“So let them fight in the way of Allah who sell the present life for the world to come; and whosoever fights in the way of Allah and is slain, or conquers, we shall bring him a mighty wage”

Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiegethem, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is forgiving, merciful.

- Qur’an: Sura 9, verse 5“

First: The Caliph must “invite” the infidel to join Islam

Page 129: Post disengagement

Jihad produces the concept of “the Dhimmi”

“Fight those who believe not in Allah… nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, even if they are of the People of the Book - until they pay the Jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.”

- Qur’an: Sura 9, verse 29

- This is the “last word” from the Qur’an on Jihad

Page 130: Post disengagement

More rules pertaining to dhimmis

• “The subject peoples must pay the jizya; are distinguished from Muslims in dress, wearing a wide cloth belt (zunnar); are not greeted with ‘as-Salamu ‘alaykum’ (peace be with you); must keep to the side of the street, may not build higher than or as high as the Muslims’ buildings, though if they acquire a tall house, it is not razed; are forbidden to openly display wine or pork…recite the Torah or Evangel aloud, or make a public display of their funerals or feastdays; and are forbidden to build new churches.”

• If the dhimmi violates any of these, they can be killed or enslaved at the discretion of the Muslim leader.

-Umdat al-Salik (Islamic Manual)

Page 131: Post disengagement

Dhimmi in Theory and Practice

• Institutionalized Apartheid (Jews lived in ghettos)

• No Legal Rights - can’t testify

• Permanent state of Humiliation and Vulnerability– Jizya: poll tax– Banned from riding horses– Forced to wear distinctive clothing: Yellow star– Forced to bow before Muslims in the street

• Conditional Protection: Shifting between tolerance and persecution

Page 132: Post disengagement

Dhimmi in Theory and Practice

• Until 1875, Jews in Tunisia were forced to wear blue and black robes.

• Until the 20th Century, Moroccan Jews had to walk barefoot outside of the Jewish quarter.

• In the 17th Century, Egyptian Christians had to dismount from their donkeys when passing distinguished Muslims.

• In 1833, when the French Consul rode a horse in Damascus, Syria, riots broke out.

• The Jizya was enforced until 1909 in Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon & Turkey; until 1925 in Iran, and until 1980 in Yemen.

Page 133: Post disengagement

Current Dhimmi treatmentIran: Mona Mahmudnizhad, Executed for teaching Baha’ireligion.

Pakistan: Dr. Yusef, a Christian on death row for stating that Muhammedwasn’t a Muslim before his revelation. Many attacks on churches.Indonesia:

Forced conversion & circumcision. Attack on disco & general terror campaign.

Sudan: 2.1 Million Black Christiansslaughtered by the Muslim gov’t inthe last 20 years. Men killed, women raped, women & childrensold into slavery.

Egypt: anti-Christian riots in2000. Churches unable to obtain building permits to renovate.

Page 134: Post disengagement

Why is Dhimmi Important?

• The Middle East is a diverse region, filled with many religions and minority groups

• Ideology of Dhimmitude – minority submission – still shapes Middle East culture

• Jews are the only minority group to overcome dhimmitude and achieve self-determination

• Existence of Israel in the midst of Muslim world threatens a revered tradition and CAN NOT BE TOLERATED.

Page 135: Post disengagement

The lesson of the Al-Houdibaya pact• 628 CE – The Prophet Muhammad,

then at Medina, signs a 10 year HUDNA (cease fire) with the Koraish tribe of Mecca.

• This Hudna was signed at Al-Houdibaya

• Muhammad who understood he is unable to conquer Holy Mecca, sought a pact, even with painful concessions.

• Muhammad removed the words “Messenger of Allah” under his name, making it an “inferior peace agreement”, meant to be broken.

• 630 – Muhammad breaks the agreement when he realizes he is now stronger than the enemy, attacks Mecca and slaughters the Koraish tribe !

Page 136: Post disengagement

Islamic Empires

• The Umayyad Dynasty of Islam - rule from Damascus• 691 & 705 - Built Dome of the Rock and then Al-Aksa mosque on the ruins of the 2nd

Temple & created mythic association with Qur’an (Muhammed died in 632 and the Qur’an states that he went to heaven from the “farthest mosque”. The farthest mosque was in Medina, but the Umayyads called their new mosque “The Farthest Mosque” (The Al-Aksa Mosque) and said that this is where Muhammed went to heaven from.) As the Al-Aksa Mosque wasn’t built until 73 years after Muhammad died, this is clearly not the mosque referred to in the Qur’an.

• All of the Islamic Dynasties (through the Ottomans) ruled from places other than Jerusalem.

• From 1948-67, when this site was Arab controlled, not 1 Arab leader visited it!!!

Page 137: Post disengagement

So how do the “Palestinians” adapt their history to the present?

Page 138: Post disengagement

1964: Birth of the PLO and Its Official Charter

• Article 1: Palestine is the homeland of the Arab Palestinian people; it is an indivisible part of the Arab homeland, and the Palestinian people are an integral part of the Arab nation.

• Article 2: Palestine, with the boundaries it had during the British Mandate, is an indivisible territorial unit.

• Article 9: Armed struggle is the only way to liberate Palestine and is therefore a strategy and not tactics.

• Article 19: The partition of Palestine in 1947 and the establishment of Israel is fundamentally null and void…

Page 139: Post disengagement

1974 PLO “Stages” Plan

• Article 2: Establish, through terror OR any means, an “independent combatant national authority” on any “liberated” territory

• Article 4: Continue the armed struggle using the territory [liberated] as the base

• Article 8: Provoke an all-out regional war to

destroy all of Israel

Page 140: Post disengagement

The palestinians’ less-than-stellar Track Record

• 1- They failed to destroy Israel.• 2- Many fled to Jordan in 1948, where they almost

overthrew Hussein (before being thrown out)• 3- They then went to Lebanon in 1970, where they set up

a corrupt mini-state, tortured locals, used this land as a base to attack Israel, and brought about a civil war (before being thrown out in the mid 1980s.)

• 4- Many then went to Kuwait, where they helped the invading Iraqis torture and kill prominent Kuwaiti officials (before being thrown out after the Gulf War.)

• 5- Israel then brought them back into Israel in 1993, where they instituted a corrupt dictatorship, destroyed the thriving economy (one of the 5 fastest growing economies in the world over the previous 26 years), created a thriving Jihad center, and killed almost 2000 Jews and maimed many thousands more in a war which they are still waging.

• This is NOT a good track record!

Page 141: Post disengagement

Arafat on Jordanian Radio:The Day after the Signing

• “This agreement, I am not considering it more than the agreement which had been signed between our prophet Mohammed and Koraish, and you remember the Caliph Omar had refused this agreement and [considered] it a despicable truce.”

• “We respect agreements the way that prophet Muhammad and Salah-a-Din respected the agreements which they signed”

Page 142: Post disengagement

Palestinian Representatives• Faisel Husseini:

Page 143: Post disengagement

How the PA raises it’s children

• Religious obligation to become shahada (“martyr for Allah” by dying while killing “infidels”)

• Reward in paradise for becoming shahada

• Children’s shows say to do it

• Media says to do it• Parents say it’s good• Politicians say it’s the best

thing to be

Page 144: Post disengagement

Typical Propaganda for PA children

(1 min)

Page 145: Post disengagement

And this is what the PA has created

•“What could be better than going to Paradise?” (2 min)

Page 146: Post disengagement

Page 147: Post disengagement

What the PA doesn’t show it’s children

• Joseph’s Tomb - 1900 and today in Shechem (the Arabs now call Nablus)• This is the first place that Abraham stopped in Eretz Yisrael, and the Arabs

didn’t move in until the 20th century (for better economic opportunity – as the British kept the Jews on a strict quota but ignored illegal Arab immigration.)

Page 148: Post disengagement

Anti-democratic clauses of the Disengagement• Three years mandatory imprisonment of persons who act together to oppose

disengagement, even if one of them is a minor (or an infant). Five years mandatory imprisonment if such a meeting included a person with a weapon, even just a pen knife or a nail scissor.

• The building of additional prisons capable of holding thousands of objectors to the Disengagement Plan (including “family” prisons)

• The preparation of specially trained troops to forcefully evacuate Jews. These troops are to be paid a $5000 monetary bonus for participation. They do not have to wear their nametags during the operation, and will not be cited for minor offenses such as breaking hands.

• The purchase of special protective equipment for the forces which take part in this evacuation of Jews.  (How about protective equipment for those about to be forcibly dragged out of their homes?)

• Doomed settlements closed to outsiders 30 days prior to expulsion begins.

• If there is any resistance whatsoever to being forcibly evicted from one's home, such persons lose any chance for compensation for their house and/or farm, and, in addition, forfeit the ownership of their personal possessions (furniture, appliances, clothes etc.) [Compensation not to be given according to market-value appraisals, but according to depreciation schedules, which will result in unfairly low compensation for business owners in Gaza.]

• Media coverage of the Disengagement to be severely limited (IDF announced 3/17/05)

• Jewish graves will be dug up and the Shiva period must be redone.

Page 149: Post disengagement

MK Zvi Hendel on Sharon’s About-Face

• Hendel describes 2 meetings at Sharon’s ranch in late 2003 (he claims to have received these descriptions from a participant):

• Meeting 1- Sharon, top aids & sons review the revised indictment against David Appel (Greek Island Affair) in which Gilad & Ariel Sharon are accused of bribery. The participants sought a plan of action to undertake a “national enterprise” in order to have the investigations against them closed.

• Going to war was first suggested, but this was rejected as “it was clear the Left would not forgive him.”

• Giving away Gaza was next suggested by Eyal Arad. Sharon replied, “Have you gone mad? The settlement there is a strategic asset. I truly believe that. It was but a few months ago that I explained that to [Amran] Mitzna.” No decision was made at this meeting.

• Meeting 2 (after the bribery story gained momentum in the media) – Gilad Sharon said, “Father, we have no choice. Nothing else can save us. We must go for an evacuation of the Gaza Strip.”

• This is clearly the most plausible explanation of Sharon’s trampling on everything he believed in one fell swoop.
