The Government is one of the four sovereignty organs of the portuguese republic. It is also the organ that conducts politics in general in the country and is also the superior body in public administration. It is also referred to as the Government of the Portuguese Republic or the Government of Portugal.

• The GDP in Portugal was worth 237.52 billion US dollars in 2011, according to a report published by the World Bank. The GDP value of Portugal is roughly equivalent to 0.38 percent of the world economy. Historically, from 1960 until 2011, Portugal GDP averaged 74.39 Billion USD reaching an all time high of 251.93 Billion USD in December of 2008 and a record low of 3.19 Billion USD in December of 1960. • Lisbon--- is the capital city of portugal. the city was built during the 18th century and since then it has been the major city of the country.

• Madonna--- is situated in the north-western side of Lisbon the city has huge population and is the smallest municipality of the country

• porto--- is another major city of portugal. the city has been recognized as the one of the cultural capitals of Europe. the second largest city of portugal is also the capital of Douro region.

• Braga--- is one of the major tourist destination of portugal. the city features fascinating sites and some of the best museums of the country
