cube houseThe purpose of the cube house project is the development of a habitable place in a small environment with 6 meters of width, 6 meters of length and 6 meters of height, totaling in 216m³.

The implantation of the cube house is a site in the campus of the University of São Paulo. The site has many trees, like a forest. Consequently, the house has big windows to take advantage of natural lighting.

This house was designed for a couple, so the rooms are small and compacts.

casing bottleThe purpose of this exercise was to create a casing for a glass bottle, using only duplex paper; nothing else was allowed, such as glue or adhesive tape.

We had to develop a 3D object from a 2D paper, using just folds and cuts.

The developed model consisted of a modular casing, with four sides. The top and the back was modular too.

metropolitanhidroanel

The Metropolitan hidroanel involves the project of the Tietê River requalification. Located in São Paulo, Brazil, the river and its margins are currently very polluted.

The problem was addressed with a project of margin restructuring that included a small portion of the hidroanel. This project involves a bike rack, a marquise, a bridge and commercial modules. Everything was done taking into account the idea of minimum intervention, because this is an area of envoronmental preservation.

city center requalification

Located in the region of Luz, São Paulo, the project aims to revert the run down process in this area. The purposal is to create a new atmosphere, delivering to the users and to people who live there, better urban conditions. For this, the project is to implant a Cultural Center and an Affordable Housing that aticulates with each others and with public equipaments that already exists – ETEC, Paula Souza Institute and “Poupatempo”. This articulation will be done by free areas system.

The building verticalization was considered important because this is a dense area.

CONTEXTUALIZATION

EQUIPAMENTS:Analysing the project area in the center of São Paulo, it was possible to realize that there is a significant number of equipaments, including an ETEC (techinical school), galeries, police department etc.

GREEN AREAS:With the local analyse it was possible to realize that this area in the city centre has few green areas.

PARKING:The increasing of vehicles in São Paulo resulted in a large number of parkings, mainly in the city centre because of trading and offices located there. This parkings are considered urban voids.

bathroom module

The theme of this project was to develop a modular temporary architecture.

The project’s aim is to support the necessities to events such as street markets, shows, parties etc. Different from chemical bathroom, this project has a water tank and a sewage box. It is also easy to assemble and to carry on .

The main concepts of this project are:- The use of lightweight material (both cover and structure)- Water reuse- Ease of assembly- Small volume

THE STRUCTURE

The structure was modular in order to facilitate the manufaturing and the mounting. It used aluminium tubes, because they are resistants, lights and they don’t erodes.

COATING

INTERNAL COATING

EXTERNAL COATING

The coating is divided in internal and external coating. The material of external coating is PVC, that is nervured, and the material of internal coating is fiberglass. The splice between the internal and the external coating is done using a screw.

COVER

The cover is retractile and consists in a PVC cover clinched on an aluminium structure. The moviment of the cover is because of the silicone circles.

UNIFESPcampus

The purpose for this project was to develop a campus to Unifesp (Federal University of São Paulo) in a periferical area in the metropolitan region - the Itaquera “bairro”

The mainly concept of this project is minimal intervention on the landscape. Because of this, the campus is compound by two plateaus.

The first one has architectural uses mor connected with the metropolitan face, because of Jacú-Pessego Avenue, an important avenue for the region where many people pass by. The second one has more regional purpose, because of a local street near this.
