Strategic Themes in action: Engaging SIG Membership

We developed a plan

We wanted to get more SIG members

interested & Involved

Introduced concept of Committee Support

Volunteers

Started by getting groups together

for the DNK Research

We have around 20 CSVs – now, we need extra committee members for

2015-16 to help plan, develop and co-ordinate new projects

Page 13: Portfolio Management SIG conference 2015 overview

13

Strategic Themes in action: Engaging with CxO Community

We developed a plan

We believe CxO’s need to understand

the value of PfM

But – we know it must be promoted jargon-free

Good ideas were generated at the

2014 PfM/BM Conference

Two aspects are being explored: • Working with the APM and other SIGs (who

have similar interests) • Developing our own approach and working

with/through SIG members

Page 14: Portfolio Management SIG conference 2015 overview

Strategic Themes in action: Three Perspectives

Areas where the SIG’s strategy is seeking to improve awareness,

knowledge and practice

Explain how PfM tackles business issues

Highlight what PfM can do for them

Demonstrate how to get PfM started

Executive

Provide ideas to improve support from above

Create access to examples of PfM in real life

Show PfM synergies with associated processes

Practitioner

Improve PfM profile – PgM & PjM well known

Identify pathway for aspiring portfolio managers

Enhance recognition by other P3M communities
