BARGELLINO PLUG&PLAY
wb
19
In computing the term plug and play is used to refer to technologies that can be put into use within an hardware without the system’s user knows or start a specific installation or configuration.
Consider Bargellino as an hardware system characterized by territorial and strategic conditions, peculiar and privileged compared with the insisting area. The opportunities arising from being the center of Aerotropolis are not those of any other local dimension but they are directly related to a global dimension that can extend its offering beyond national borders to reach capital cities and towns served by an airport
The citizens are then users that logging in and settling within its territory, even for a short period, decide to live or work into this system, aware of the opportunities associated with it. The possibility to choose between a range of solutions, allows everyone to realize the changes required in order to integrate with the Bargellino system, a shared process of regeneration in which every actor and user decides the level of participation within the overall defined strategy.
The offer is presented as a set of management software where the users can draw their own productive activity or implementing their own welfare. This process increase benefits by offering an integrated system of logistics, service and quality of spaces and by directing choices of firms towards coherent paths with actions planned to strengthen the local context and its links with the outside world.

GHIAIE IPERURBANE
wb
The goal of the project is to provide a beach IPERURBANA, in order to succeed the area needs to be contaminated by the functions that are currently positioned on the perimeter.
The project try to turn unexpected relationships, the floor trying to intercept and encourage flows from the city, the pitches offer to all age groups and in all seasons a good reason to stop inside the area and the promenade with the beach which are the major points of attraction. We proceeded in the composition of functional mix inside the area following the principle of the Multiverse.
The formal design is inspired by the characteristics of the stones of the beach gravels, the flowing forms of the stones smoothed by water fit very well to the concept of distribution and functions.

This international competition offered a chance to reflect on how we will live in the near future in the light of the social, cultural and technological changes in which we are immersed.
The project has been published in a collection containing the 107 finalist proposals of the between 708 participant.
Right to be itself(sufficient) starts from the biggest slum of India, Dharavi, to investigate how we can transform unconventional cities like this, into sufficient urban reality.
My proposal begin from the urbanistic structure and the necessity of infrastructures and municipal recognition , then it approaches to the architectural scale, investigating two constructive alternatives.
The first is a basic home, a classical residential unit that is used also for retail and small industrial activities, self constructed by the inhabitants.
The second example is the High rise, an example of experimental technology, which accomodates different services and wants to avoid the feeling of alienation that is felt by the inhabitants of the flats in Dharavi.

mapping and redefinition of the evolving realities of the Riviera Romagnola
turismo enogastronomico
27
This particular project it’s part of a wider research work carried out by Sealine, within the University of Ferrara, and through the interaction of local governments and stakeholders on the Adriatic coast of Emilia and Romagna.
“The Adriatic coast is a place characterized by multiple identities that offer different occasions of experience in the area. In Riviera a tourist usually goes with a purpose: “go to the seaside”, nightclubs, spas ... But these reasons may not be sufficient to justify the choice, because of the competitiveness in quality of local services in comparison with other places in Italy and abroad. The potential of Riviera lies in the additional opportunities to the first choice. This is the great potential of having not one but multiple identities, in Riviera you can be what you choose. I can draw maps of actions to be transposed in the territory, describing different situations. To these maps we can add informations and points which represent: places of the past wich could be reactivate, or assumptions of future changes. It is an imaginary scenario that foreshadows a possible model for the development of tourism.”

Beginning from the abstract theme of Island and Islands we have explored how many potentialities exist in a real and complex context as the Lagoon of Venice and in particular of its smaller islands.
A thematic analysis has been developed contextualizing the islands within a larger scale, thanks to increasing socio-economic dynamics of Venice and the North East.
Under the theme of the island and the uniqueness of Venetian wealth of arts and crafts we have decided to take, among the many possibilities offered by the changes underway, the theme of Culture and Creativity as a guide to the evolution of analysis and design.
To choice the islands on which to focus and towards which functions and utilities address the project, was carried out a mapping of places and activities already present in the urban context.

San Giorgio in Alga represents the example of the approach transferable to the other islands. As the Creative Production Island it hosts a public part formed by crafts and computer lab, a conference room, services and an hostel.
The building, following the historical wall, switches its public function to a private one; from here the artist recidency and its different declinations.
The design has been developed investigating the feeling that people can establish inside a particular place, like an island.

LA FAGLIA wb
The workshop proposed seven districts of the city of Catania as seven occasions to reflect and investigate its problems and potencialities.
Monte Po is in between the Catania center and the periphery; it is crossed by the high way SP205, that creates a big breaking inside the district. This becomes the maine concept of the project; craeate a big fault, faglia, accessible and green, to exceed the limit.
The faglia generate a passage from a side to another one of Monte Po, without destroing the highway, neither hiding it.
Next to this fault we can immagine unexpected scenarios and urban fabrics, cohabitant with the old ones.

For me ARCHITECTURE means RELATION, material and immaterial, between people and space.
As a language I can use architecture to construct different systems, maps, forms of expression and representation, dipending on the scale.
I consider the PROJECT more as a PROCESS than as a destination.
I see inside architecture world an INTERWEAVING of multiple disciplines. For this I like to learn from another fields. I like to LEARN.
I like to CONFRONT.
I like to go from a scale to another one. I like to ZOOM.
When I’m involved inside a project I try to use my CREATIVITY to create a STORY, and, above all, to tell it.
Here is my story.
Thank you.
