Porsche Opens New $60 Million Experience Center and Motorsport Headquarters inLos Angeles
Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), officially opened itssecond Porsche Experience Center (PEC LA) in the UnitedStates. The new $60 million facility will serve as thecompany's premier West Coast destination for the public,including automotive enthusiasts and Porsche customers.Located on the 405 Freeway in Carson, California, convenientto three of the Los Angeles area airports, the 53-acre complexis also the new home of Porsche Motorsport North America.The PEC LA features a driver development track with eighteducational modules totaling 4.1 miles, a changing race carexhibit, and a fine-dining restaurant.
Guests and corporate groups visiting the new facility can honetheir driving skills on courses built to demonstrate the power,responsiveness and safety of Porsche sports cars. Thecompany opened its first $100 million Experience Center andNorth American headquarters in May 2015 in Atlanta. Withfacilities on each coast, the U.S. is the only country with twoExperience Centers, representing the largest investments forPorsche outside Germany to date.
"This is a significant milestone for Porsche, as we furtherexpand our presence in the United States," said Oliver Blume,Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG. "Ourdecision to open a second Experience Center in NorthAmerica underscores our commitment to the largest sports carmarket worldwide."
If California were a country, it would be the fifth largestmarket, accounting for 23 percent of Porsche vehicles sold inthe United States. Of the 51,756 Porsche vehicles PCNAdelivered to customers in the U.S. last year, 12,016 were soldin California.
Visitors to the PEC LA can enjoy instructor-led, 90-minuteexperiences on the driver development track in Porschesports cars. The eight training modules include two handlingcircuits, an ice hill, an off-road course, a dynamics area, alaunch control and acceleration straight, as well as a lowfriction handling circuit, low friction circle, and hydraulic kick-plate.
In addition to driving experiences, guests can reserve meetingspace, view historic Porsche race cars or dine at Restaurant917, aptly named after the iconic race car that gave Porscheits first win at the famed French endurance race, the 24 Hoursof Le Mans. The state-of-the-art business center features6,000 square feet of main event space.
The new complex is also home to Porsche Motorsport NorthAmerica (PMNA), the only authorized sales, parts, and serviceprovider in the United States and Canada for all purpose-builtPorsche race cars such as the 911 GT3 Cup, 911 GT3 R, andthe Cayman GT4 Clubsport. PMNA also provides engine andtransmission servicing, on-site race support at multipleinternational racing series, and certain restoration services. Aglass wall inside the atrium of the new Porsche ExperienceCenter provides visitors with a clear view into the PorscheMotorsport North America workshop, where historic race carsare repaired, track vehicles are maintained, and race carsfrom owners and collectors are exhibited.

"ThePorsche Experience Center will draw motor enthusiasts fromaround the world, and I am proud to welcome this unparalleledwinning tradition to our city."

Porsche Customers Most Satisfied Overall, Says J.D. Power Satisfaction Study
The Porsche brand has ranked highest among all nameplates,according to the latest J.D. Power 2016 U.S. SalesSatisfaction Index (SSI) Study. The brand also placed higherthan all other luxury manufacturers for the second consecutiveyear. Porsche improved upon its 2015 standing by 72 pointsto capture the overall ranking for the second time in the30-year history of the SSI Study.
The SSI Study measures satisfaction with the salesexperience among new-vehicle buyers and rejecters - thosewho shop a dealership and purchase elsewhere. Buyersatisfaction is based on four measures: working out the deal(25%); salesperson (19%); delivery process (16%); and facility(15%). Porsche ranked highest among all automotive brandsacross all four categories. Rejecter satisfaction is based onfive measures: salesperson (10%); fairness of price (4%);experience negotiating (4%); facility (3%); and variety ofinventory (3%). Porsche improved this year in the areas ofprice, facility and inventory.

The 2016 SSI Study is based on responses from 28,979buyers who purchased or leased their new vehicle in April orMay 2016. The study is a comprehensive analysis of the new-vehicle shopping and purchasing experience and measurescustomer satisfaction at U.S. dealerships.
