The Huntsville Times, Wednesday, December 19, 2007 A5 OFFICER WILLIAM ERIC FREEMAN: 1971-2007 Huntsville Times photos by Eric Schultz came to  bered as a devoted family man who loved 12, Cameron, 11, Austin, 9, Emily, 7, and Eli-  jah, 2 – Johnson said that donation must have been like “taking a pork chop from a group of pit bulls.” Bethlehem Baptist pastor Lon Ostrzy- cki said in the way that Freeman served the public and his creator, he “fulfilled the great- est two commandments,” loving God and loving his neighbor as himself. He said that the officer’s family and friends can take com- fort in knowing that their loved one is in heaven. “When he took his last breath here, he took his first breath in eternity,” Ostrzycki said. That eternity was mentioned by a per- son who understands the pain of Freeman’s family, David Golden, whose brother, Huntsville police officer Daniel Golden, was shot and killed while answering a domes- tic dispute call in 2005. He sent his sym- pathies to the Freemans via the Officers Down Memorial Page online. Eric Schultz/Huntsville Times Members of the Patriot Guard carry flags to their posts before the funeral service uesday.
