Copy/Paste your submissions into the body of the email and type "Poet Speak Submissions"into the Subject field of the email (If you find it easier, then you can simply "Attach" yourpoems to the email)7.) Type your name, City/State, and email contact info into the body of the email so readerscan contact you directly if interested in more work from you8.) All poems will be Edited for spelling errors (We realize you have Poetic License and thecontent and message of your work will not be changed; If there are certain words that you areusing as "play on words" like "Poetik" then detail this in your submission email and we will notchange it)9.) Feeling like you are too goodfor anybodyor not good enough...is that possible?when will it end?when will true life beginfor a lover looking for lovebut getting pushed aside by fate...

am i being naive because i wantto believe in being in love?sometimes i feel like i don't qualify,like i don't meet the standards,i don't quite make the cutand who is doing the grading anyway?i mean who really decides......is everybody looking for just a pretty face?a well sculpted body or a well rehearsed line?

i'm so great at trying on Cupid's wingsand throwing back that bow for othersbut there's never any power leftin that bow and arrows for me...but don't get me wrong,i don't want you to feel sorry for mei'm just talking about loveand what it should be...

been lifting up my face to the cloudsexpecting a drink,but it feels like Heaven has gone Bankruptand left me to sink

yet I have plenty of waterto drown in,an endless flow of tears,acre after acre of barren land I've walked throughdown the years

allowing each potential lover the chanceto hide their shadows well,I eagerly offered open armsand lost the ability to tellwhat was good for meand what I should run away from,while maintaining a hopeful heartthat someday the right one will come

and when that right one arrives,will I notice, will I see?or will past failures in love hinder me?

and when that right one arrives,their devotion, will I mirror it wellor allow foolish hearts from former yearsto darkly color my tale?

Never been so mistreateddidn't mean for things to get so heatedbut I asked for thiswhen I lowered my standardsand allowed you to slither on inFriends kept on talking boutthe rumors in your pastbut I stood my ground for you...used to listen to those same friends tell meit was wrong to be alonebut they were speakingfrom the comfort of having someoneAnd now when I face that inevitable momentof having no one by my sideI turn around and there really is no one there...but the sad part isthat I have been alonefor a long timeand I just didn't know it...

You want evidence of God?If HE does not exist, then how did we get here?Are we the result of a colossal accident in space?A cosmic explosion that created galaxy after galaxy…If we were an accident, then how can you explainThe planetary bodies in alignment with one another…If we were an accident, then how can you explainHuman DNA and how we are all the same and yet differentWith our own specialized “makeup” and unique fingerprints?Scientific minds would have you believe in theMathematical and scientific order of the universeAnd I must admit it is quite amazing…But no Big Bang in the outer dimensionsCould create such order, let alone sustain it…If scientists must insist that historically there was such an event as the “Big Bang”Then how do you think it was initiated?In God’s Word it states, “Let There be Light”Doesn’t an explosion usually involve Light?Well, there’s a no brainer right there!An Intelligent God with an Intelligent MindTook the chaos that existed of the universe and turned it into OrderAnd is currently sustaining that Order and yesUsing the science and the math that we have been “taught” existsBut our finite minds can’t even begin to understand thatGod is science and HE is math because HE is everything!!!If you want evidence of HIS existence, one only needs to look around….
