The vision is to design & build a 3 bedroom house for Smiths family in a period of 12 months on a plot of land they have already purchased

The house will suffice all the requirements elicited by the homeowner and address all the concerns with regards to their living comfort and amenities

Assumptions

It is assumed that the homeowner has already selected and purchased a site for their home and that the site is in suitable condition for construction.

It is assumed that the homeowner has secured financing for their land and for the costs of the design-build portion of the project.

We are insured and properly licensed to do the work.

We assume that there is no delays related to sponsors willingness and availability to make decisions in accordance with the milestone schedule provided

ConstraintsTime- Project will follow a schedule from May 2010 to April 2011 (design and build)

Cost Budget for entire project, including both design and build phases is estimated to be $1.5M

We will use an overall linear lifecycle approach because the nature of a construction project is based on goals that are clearly defined and concrete.

Vision Statement:Our team vision is to work together to produce a successful project presentation at the end of the course. Our project will be based on a design-build construction scenario, which we picked for its concrete, rather than abstract, nature.
