Endless possibilities – KADECO pleated blinds

Thanks to their versatility and wide choice of applications, pleated blinds never cease to delight. Whether you‘re looking for glare or sun protection, protection against the heat or an attractive interior design scheme, KADECO pleated blinds offer virtually unlimited diversity in terms ofcolours, shapes and materials that you can combine to suit your tastes.

To make it easier for you to decide which fabric to choose, our experts have classified the fabrics in different colour groups. The subtle shading ranging from transparent to darkening, new textures, prints or motifs featuring modern and timeless patterns are perfect for expressing your personal furnishing taste.

Further collectionsIn addition to our collection for pleated blind materials, KADECO also offers a further two collections for energy-saving honeycomb pleated blinds and maxi pleated blinds with a pleat width of 50 mm. Whilst honeycomb pleated blinds impress with their special insulating effect andconcealed cords, maxi pleated blinds are especially eye-catching on large windows.

An attractively shaped designer handle is available on request for many tensi-oned pleated blinds and pleated blindsfor rooflights.

Magnetic clamping shoes can also be fitted as an option to ensure the reliable locking of the top operating rail, especially on large windows.

This comfort accessory is available for ClassicLine models VS1, VS2, DF10 and DF20.

DESIGN

COMFORT

Tensioned pleated blinds are very easy to move thanks to an attractively shaped handle right on the operating rail. These blinds are installed directly in the window rabbet or on the casement at operating height. System bracing provides the necessary grip and enables the blind to be secured at any position you like. Free-hanging systems are operated by means of a chain or cord pull. The two most popular types of pleated blinds for straight window shapes are the VS1 and VS2 models.

A huge benefit of KADECO pleated blinds is the incredibly flexible way in which they can be installed. Whether it‘s in a glass rabbet, screwed onto the frame or clamped onto the frame – the smart fastening systems guarantee the right installation option for every situation.

A blinding solution – tensioned pleated blind systems

Type VS1

In the VS1, the material is clamped between a freely positionable operating rail and a fixed rail.

Type VS2

In the VS2, the material is clamped between two freely positionable operating rails.

Sticks to its promise – the practical adhesive kit

KADECO‘s new adhesive kit allows easy installation of pleated and Roman blinds right onto the window pane. The adhesive system with its two made-to-measure aluminium side profiles is the perfect solution, especially where screw fastening is not wanted or possible such as in rented flats, for example.

The special adhesive satisfies the stringent requirements for UV and temperature resistance and guarantees permanent adhesion of the pleated blind system. The adhesive kit comes off without trace, of course.

The benefits:· No damage to the window elements· Perfectly suited for modern glazing with shallow rabbets· Reduces light incidence from the side· Satisfies the required minimum clearance to the glass· The adhesive strip comes off without trace

Glare protection and privacy shield when working at a screenThanks to their adjustability and the different levels of material trans-parency available, backcoated pleated blinds are perfectly suited for internal glare protection. KADECO offers an extensive range of fabrics for non-residential buildings.

A smooth move – the new pleated blind chain pull mechanisms

What makes the FK1 and FK2 chain pull mechanisms for free-hanging systems so outstanding istheir enhanced comfort and child-safe operation. KADECO guarantees smooth running and infiniteadjustment up to a system height of 260 cm with the new cone drive technology. The chain automa-tically disconnects from the gearbox when the specified operating force is exceeded, which means that they can end as much as 60 cm above floor level without requiring additional fixing for the necessary child safety.

98

FK2Similarly to the two operating rails of a VS2, the FK2 functions with two chain pull drives. You use one chain to position the top operating rail wherever you want in front of the window, and you move the bottom operating rail with the other chain. This version is particularly suitable for large, ceiling-to-floor windows as it ensures privacy in the lower half while leaving the upper half open so that you can fully enjoy the view.

FB “Balance”

The practical Balance version of free-hanging pleated blinds dispenses with operating cords. Just gently moving the bottom rail is all it takes to position the blind exactly where you want it. These systems can be fitted with materials from the pleated blind and honeycomb pleated blind collections up to a height of 220 cm. A maintenance-free spring system allows simple and infinite adjustment – child safe without any operating cords and without any compromise!

Smooth operation – individual pulling cord technology

Thanks to their operating elements, free-hanging systems are particularly well suited to windows that are located high up. In the F1 model, the length of the pulling cord can be individually designed in consideration of child safety. The bottom rail operated by the cord pull can be freely positioned at any height you want using a cord lock.

1110

Better safe than sorry

The European standard EN 13120 stipulates special requirements in respect of the child safety of sunscreens. The aim is to minimise the risk of a small child being strangled by operating chains or cord loops. As a responsible manufacturer, we naturally make sure that our products comply with this standard and offer child-safe operating mechanisms for all of our models.

Examples of special designs

1312

From trapeziums, to slants, right through to hexagons – tensions systems are perfectly suited for special window shapes. Fabric bea-ding that is worked into the rail profiles underlines the highqualityappearance of these blinds.

Slanted or slope systems are often used in gabled roof areas. A special production process means the hangings can be pulled up fully into the top of the window.

The perfect fit – special pleated blind designs

Thanks to a wide range of special designs and operating variants, KADECO can provide the perfect solution for almost every window situation. Whether you want to install blinds in a conservatory, under the gable, in rooflights or the ceiling area, the wide range of operating and drive variants provide optimum privacy screens and sun protection, even in confined areas.

1514

Off the wall – the solution for your rooflights

KADECO pleated blinds can be used universally on all standard types of rooflight. Bracing wires on the side guide the systems safely in the slope. There are three basic types, just like for thetensioned pleated blinds. These are manufactured with either one operating rail (DF10), with two operating rails (DF20), or with two operating rails and two different materials (DF30).

The Elegance version (DFE10, 20, 30) can be easily flush-mounted by means of side rails and its attractively shaped cassette provides the optimum finishing touch.

Type DF with wire cord guide Type DFE with rail guide

Two in one The pleated blind types VS3 and DF30 offer a special function. Two different materials are combined and tensioned in one system, enabling you to achieve a blind that offers decorative sun protection and blackout features in perfect harmony. Stacking can be either together at the top or separate at the top and bottom. With the black-

out materials from the honeycomb pleated blinds collection in parti-cular, this allows you to achieve exceptional results, for example, in the bedroom. As the cords for tensioning run on the inside of the honeycomb material, you cannot see any dots of light at the punches unlike with normal pleated blinds.

DAY & NIGHT

We‘ve got you covered – pleated blinds for your conservatory

Specific thermal conditions prevail in conservatories or under glass roofs. That‘s why ceilingsystems, which are easy to operate by operating rod, crank or electric drive, are particularly suitedto optimising the room temperature.

The pearlescent finishes or aluminium coatings on the back of the pleated blinds have extremely high reflection values and ensure that the entire room stays cool, not just the ceiling area. This allows you to make significant energy cost savings for air conditioning in the summer.

Sun protection at the press of a button Electrically operated pleated blinds made by KADECO offer optimum safety and user-friendliness. Open and close the systems, which are operated with 24 V motors, easily and conveniently using a wall button, hand-held transmitter or a central control system that features a programmable timer and sun monitor. This means that if you‘re away, you increase security, automatically prevent rooms from heating up and, in addition, actively make use of energy saving potential.

Prime climate – with honeycomb pleated blinds

Reflection in summer:Honeycomb pleated blinds protect against heat radiation and guarantee a pleasant room climate.

Insulation in winter:Honeycomb pleated blinds protect against heat loss at the window thanks to their additionalpockets of air, which means that you save on energy costs.

A cosy atmosphere created by diffuse light, elimination of the need for punched holes in the fabric and concealed cords – those are just some of the visible benefits of honeycomb pleated blinds from KADECO. The back of the pleated blinds are shorter than the front which means that the pleats are even when closed, therefore ensuring that material has an incredibly homogeneous and uniform appearance.

The special honeycomb structure of the fabric forms pockets of air that provide insulation. At low outdoor temperatures, this reduces the thermal loss, therefore saving heating energy. In the summer months, honeycomb pleated blinds again guarantee more pleasant temperatures in the house whilst drastically reducing the cooling energy requirements. This effect is primarily achieved thanks to the pearlescent finish on the back of the blinds, which ensures a high degree of solar radiation reflection, thus stopping your rooms from heating up.

MATERIALS IN AN

EXCLUSIVE

COLLECTION

In addition to their insulating properties, honeycomb pleated blinds also significantly help to improve indoor acoustics. They absorb sound thanks to their textile structure and their pleats help to break up the smooth, sound-reflecting window surfaces. This advantage can be heard loud and clear in conservatories with large glass surfaces or in offices and meetings rooms.

Sounds good – optimum indoor acoustics

KADECO honeycomb pleated blinds are available in almost every shape, colour and variant like pleated blinds and are installed and operated in the same way. You can find the attractive materials in more than 120 items in our exclusive collection.

The free-hanging maxi pleated blinds really come into their own when used with full-length windows. The 50 mm pleats are parti-cularly good fits in these kinds of proportions. The freehangingmaxi pleated blinds can be positioned using a cord pull or a chain drive.

The KADECO maxi pleated blinds are available for dimensions up to a width of 230 cm and a height of 350 cm. The technical highlight of this product is that it has special cord pull technologythat reinforces the pleat so that even pleats and a uniform appea-rance are achieved throughout the window’s entire height.

Making it big – with maxi pleated blinds from KADECO

Impressive range

You have the choice: over 60 stylish materials and colours to choose from give you an almost unlimited range of design options. The patterned fabrics are a real decorative feature. The freehanging maxi pleated blinds can be operated by means of a cord pull or chain drive that you can choose to place on the left or the right of the blinds.
