WIN IN SEASON 2019!One of the Club’s most popular events is the

Player Calcutta where you can win cash on your favourite player’s on-field performances throughout the season.

HOW IT WORKS:The League and Reserve Squads are divided into

20 groups, each containing between three and four players.

These groups will be auctioned to the highest bidder. The winning bidder of each group will then ‘own’ the group

for the entire 2019 Season.

Cash prizes will then be returned to the ‘owners’ based on the players performances throughout the

season in both League and Reserves grades.

There are 18 minor round matches in which you have a chance to WIN!!!

To purchase a group you must either be in attendance, or have a bidder present on your behalf, at the

Central District v Norwood home match luncheon on Saturday 6th April 2019.

The function will begin at 10:30am SHARP in the Holden Room at Grand Central.

Tickets are just $65 per person which includes a 2 course meal, 2 hour drinks package,

Official President’s address and the live auctioning of our 2019 Player Calcutta groups.

Groups generally sell for approx $800 - $2000 each.

Why not get a syndicate together?You only need 2 x League ‘best player awards’ from one of your

players (3 - 4 players per Calcutta group) to get your money back.

Anything above that - eg: another League Best Player ($500) or two Reserves BP’s ($250 x 2) - is cash in your pocket!

Outside of that, any amount is seen as a donation to the Central District Football Club’s fundraising efforts.

WHO CASTS THE VOTES...?Upon the conclusion of each Reserves and League match, the respective coaches will cast their votes as to whom they deem to be the best player afield for that particular match.

Votes are only cast for each round of the 2019 SANFL Statewide Super League Home & Away Season.

Finals are not included.

Played League football in 2017. Has blistering pace and can take a big mark. Currently recovering from a second ACL injury, but will be raring to go mid-season.

Strongly built defender type from Broadview Football Club who has had an interrupted pre-season with injury, but will give it a red hot go.

TIM AUCKLAND # 30A ruckman recently recruited across from Tasmania. Having played two League games for the Crows last year in the SANFL, looking to make a name for himself at the Dogs.

BEN ANTONIE # 43Dynamic wingman with a long left foot kick. Breaks lines, is extremely brave and can break open a game. League debut on the horizon.

Returning to the Dogs after playing in the NTFL & NEAFL. A versatile mid-sized player who can impact anywhere on the ground.

A tall defender / midfielder from Broadview Football Club who has decided to have a crack at League football.

JORDAN FURNELL # 21 TRENT GOODREM # 11One of, if not, the hardest workers in the Club. Quick and strong, will be spending more time on the footy in 2019.

Captain of the Club again in 2019. An amazing leader who leads by example. May sneak forward and become a regular goal scorer.

COOPER DAHMS # 41 RYAN FALKENBERG # 27Also one of the hardest workers at the Club but done from the comfort of his desk. Currently recovering from an ACL injury, but will be praying on opposition players with his tackling prowess mid-season.

An altered pre-season has left him hungry to make an impact in 2019. Has great foot skills for someone of his size.

JOSHUA SPENCE # 60

One of the most exciting prospects at the Club. Highly athletic and can take an enormous mark. Has good goal sense.

An extremely talented junior. With the biggest calves in the Club, will look to break lines and tackles. Penetrating kick with great hands.

A running half-back who has come through the underage system. Well rounded player.

LUKE HABEL # 25 SAM HANNA # 26Provides great knowledge of the game to young players. A quick, well skilled player with freakish ability that can influence a game.

One of the most exciting players to watch at the Club. Can take big pack marks, good skills and can change a game single handily.

NICK LANGE # 29 RYAN LLEWELLYN # 24He is a very talented player who has had a wretched run with injuries. Once he gets his body right, which is fast approaching, he will be able to show his full potential with great skills and a good goal sense. Club has great respect for his ability.

One of the best lockdown defenders in the competition, rarely loses 1-on-1. Has a team first and a never say die attitude.

MATTHEW CLAUGHTON # 31 JARROD COMBE A tall ruckman with League experience. Possesses excellent skills for a big man and is seeking to break back into the side.

A tall defender who is a product of our underage system. A back injury did not allow him to play much football last year.

DAVID HAYDON # 54 FRASER FORT # 6A ruthless defender who wears opponents like gloves. He provides a strong rebound and sets up play from the back half.

One of our most important and versatile players. Trial matches has seen him spend most of his time forward, including a bag of five goals. Potential leading goal kicker for 2019.

BRODY MAHONEY # 8 STEVE BURTON # 48A strongly built midfielder who can play both inside and outside. Saw glimpses last year of how good he really is.

A strong inside mid who finds plenty of the footy. He won a Mail Medal at A-Grade level in 2017.

A slightly built but tough small defender who has come through our underage system. A talented junior who is currently in the AFL Hub

Academy. A courageous and reliable defender with a bright future.

NICK GILLARD # 13 JUSTIN HOSKIN # 20One of our best run and carry players, will find he will spend more time up on the wing this year after having a superb pre-season. One of the real characters of the Club.

One of the most talented footballers you’ll see. Can play on ball or up forward and is equally dangerous in both areas. One of the best in the SANFL competition.

ETHAN EAST # 34 ISAYA McKENZIE # 1Had a real impact playing Reserves late last year as an Underage player. Has good hands and finds plenty of the football, and his trial game form has been excellent.

An explosive small forward who has the ability to make defenders shake in their boots with his extreme pace and evasion skills. Is uncanny around the goals.

JAKE BILLING # 47 COREY DURDINHas line breaking speed and can play anywhere on the ground. Always looks dangerous when playing up forward.

Very impressive resume for this Underage player. Highly skilled on both feet. Regularly hits the scoreboard.

KYLE JENNER # 10 NICK MADDEN # 5A premiership player who adds great knowledge and experience to the team. Like a fine wine has gotten better with age.

Veteran of the game. Composed out of the back half and is rarely beaten.

RHETT MONTGOMERIE # 36 MATTHEW NEAGLE # 14A strong athletic defender who can take a good mark. Looking to take his game to the next level.

Recruited from the Wodonga Raiders in Victoria. Has exceptional leg speed and great skills, can break games open. Potential is endless.

JOHANNES SMIT # 45 SIMON FURNELL # 51A solidly built defender who continues to improve and applies himself well.

Brilliant aerobically and athletically for anyone let alone someone of his size. Will look to use these attributes as he continues to improve.

JONOTHAN MARSH # 22Recruited from Sydney Uni in the Sydney Football League. At a massive 203cm and the ripe age of 21. He has a massive upside. Comes from a basketball background.

JAXON NEAGLE # 18Recruited from the Wodonga Raiders in Victoria. The youngest of the brothers looking to make a name for himself. Courageous and looks to take the game on.

BRENTON WATTS # 35Phenomenal runner who loves to tackle. Creates many goal scoring opportunities.

TROY MENZEL # 2If being the youngest debutant for the club doesn’t say enough. He returns to club with a bigger frame and a greater knowledge of the game, after a stint in the AFL.

JORDAN O’BRIEN # 44A member of the AFL Hub Academy. Played 11 games in the Reserves last year as a first year Under 18. Good user of the football and great tackler.

ETHAN KWATERSKI # 42A strongly built utility who can make an impact at either end of the ground. From the SA West Coast, he could be a surprise package.

JYDON NEAGLE # 9 FRAZER O’GORMAN # 3Recruited from the Wodonga Raiders in Victoria. Has already shown his strength and aggression through trial games. Finds the footy and is a seriously dangerous target up forward.

Great leg speed and skills. Fearless. Puts his body on the line for the team.

MICHAEL ORTIZ # 32 WYATT PATTERSON # 37Recruited from the Port Adelaide Magpies. Brings high levels of enthusiasm and a great tackling prowess.

Strong and reliable defender. Lockdown type player who rarely gets beaten.

MITCH McKELVIE # 40 THEO THEODORAKOPOULOS

Recruited from Coolamon NSW. Brings good pace and great front and centre awareness. Will be a lively forward / wingman.

He is a lightly built half-back wingman from the Norwood Football Club and has done everything right through pre-season.

DARCY PISANI # 12 KYLE PRESBURY # 7Recruited from Norwood. Would slide into any team’s midfield. Strong, clean and thrives off of hard ball gets.

Every year is spending more time in the midfield. Possesses an all-round game which sees him as a threat to opposition.

MURRAY STEPHENSON # 4 DYLAN WEAVER # 55Defender converted forward. Uses his strength to get front position and can kick a bag.

A versatile defender who can play small or tall. Great tank which allows him to beat opponent and get further afield.

MITCHELL PAYNE # 46 FLYNN PISANI # 15A product of the underage system. Great team man who you will always get 110% commitment out off. Love to have in your team.

Versatile small who has good skills and pace. Can play any role.

JARROD SCHILLER # 38 TRAVIS SCHILLER # 28Highly rated within the Club. One of the most courageous players you’ll come across, and displays great leadership qualities.

Runner up in the Magarey Medal last year and has the potential to go one better. A stronger on-ball brigade this year means he could spend more time up forward.

MATTHEW WHITE # 53 CONNOR McLEAN # 39Great utility player. Can play as a lockdown defender, key position forward or ruckman. Can take a good pack mark.

A tall forward who demands the ball and has great footy awareness. A long kick. Has the ability to take a good, strong pack mark.

ARI RIGNEY # 57 DAMON ROBINSON # 33Lively small on-baller come forward who provides extreme pressure and great pace. Looks to hit the scoreboard.

Forward recruited from Glenelg. Has turned heads in trial games with his ability to clunk marks and convert.
