Life Cycle of a plant
Parts of a plant
Leaves use the sunlight, carbon dioxide, water and minerals to make nutrients.
Stems keep the plant upright and support it. Vessels carry water, minerals and nutrients to other parts of the plant.
Roots are under the ground and hold the plant in the soil. They absorb water and minerals from the soil.
Flowers are the reproductive part of a plant. Seeds are formed inside the flower. A new plant grows from the seeds.
