Plant Definitions Slide 2 Cell a membrane covered structure that contains all the materials necessary for life the smallest unit / the building blocks of life. Plant cells are eukaryotic and contain three extra organelles Chloroplasts cell walls vacuoles Slide 3 Tissue a group of similar CELLS that work together to perform a specific job in a plant. There are three types of tissue in a plant cell: Dermal means skin Vascular means small vessel (xylem & phloem are examples) Ground filler tissue Slide 4 Organ a combination of two or more TISSUES that work together to perform a specific function in the plant.
