Lao PDR will be hosting the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) 2016 and the ASEAN Joint Coordinating Committee on Dental Practitioners (AJCCD) and the Healthcare Services Sectoral Working Group (HSSWG) will run parallel to AEC 2016.

Technical input required for liberalization of dental specialist services are as follows:

- To review MRA (Mutual Recognition Arrangement) for dental practitioners under ASEAN Framework Agreement on Services (AFAS)

- To provide procedures and mechanism to facilitate mobility of ASEAN dental practitioners in the region
