Transforming Communities: Glasgow (TC:G) is a regeneration company
A strategic partnership between Glasgow City Council, Glasgow Housing Association and the Scottish Government to oversee the delivery of a regeneration and development programme across Glasgow's eight Transformational Regeneration Area’s (TRA). The TRA’s cover 8 sites across the City
MARYHILL TRA
The area is one of the most deprived communities in ScotlandThey have been areas of declining popularity, poor physical condition, social decline and lack of housing choice.
The key purpose of TRA• is to create sustainable place transformation through
mixed-use development and housing renewal• maximising the potential of public sector land assets• tackle infrastructure issues and the level and rate at
which private sector investment is attracted to the site
PHASED
Maryhil Locks Phases 1 35 new affordable social rented homes, This project won a Saltire Award on completion 2010.
Maryhil Locks Phases 2 106 homes for social rent and 19 for Shared Equity.
Phase 3 Canal Regeneration Site40 new family homes for private sale developed by BiggRegeneration, a partnership between Scottish Canals and the Igloo Regeneration Fund.
Phase 4 Botany Corner Planning permission has been granted for a development of 26 social rented homes, 18 mid market rented homes and 18 shared equity homes, This is due to start on site shortly
