PETCO FOUNDATION HISTORY
Petco started its company in 1979 under the name of UPCO. After a private equity firm Leonard Green & Partners. Petco became privatized in 2000 and went public in 2002. In 1999, Petco created the Petco Foundation, which is based on the 4 R’s; Reduce, Rescue, Rehabilitate & Rejoice.
