This is the first meeting between these two clubs since playing to a 3-3 draw at High- mark Stadium in the season opener on March 25. That draw was only the second time the Hounds have captured points against Red Bulls II in six meetings all-time (1-4-1). The club’s lone win came on July 4, 2015 - a 3-0 victory, which saw current captain Kevin Kerr booked for a caution and former Hounds great Rob Vincent tally twice. Pittsburgh has yet to capture points against New York on the road (0-3-0). Saturday’s match will be the first time the clubs have faced each other at Pittser Field. New York has been involved with multiple milestones for the Hounds, including their last visit to the playoffs in 2015, where Pittsburgh fell 4-2 in stoppage time at Red Bull Arena. • Additionally, head coach Dave Brandt made his professional coaching debut for the Black and Gold last season against Red Bulls II - a 1-0 defeat on the road at the end of May. The Hounds hope to continue their trend of bouncing back from tough losses following a 3-2 defeat to Bethlehem last weekend. Pittsburgh has yet to drop back-to-back matches in league play this season, going 3-0-6 in such cases. Pittsburgh suffered its first loss when tallying two or more goals this season against Steel FC (5-1-2). Twelve of the 29 matches the Hounds have played in this season have been decided by one goal (6-6). • Forward Corey Hertzog has been a man on fire for the Hounds, tallying six goals in his last six matches played. With two tallies last weekend, Hertzog matched his 2016 season total of 13 goals. He is tied for fifth in the race for the Golden Boot. Hertzog’s 26 career goals in Black and Gold rank third all-time in club history. He is only four goals behind second-place Thiago Martins and tallied two goals his last time out against NYRBII. The Hounds will be without the services of starting center back Jamal Jack due to yellow card accumulation. Jack has played a major role for the club, leading all Hounds defenders in minutes played (2,318) and clearances (155). Reinforcements are on the way, as Pittsburgh recalled Joe Greenspan on loan from Minnesota United FC this week. The defender starred earlier this season for the Hounds in eight appearances, anchoring four clean-sheet efforts and earning Team of the Week honors twice during the month of May. 2017 SCHEDULE & RECORD League Record: 8-10-11 Home: 4-6-4 • Away: 4-4-7 • Non-League Play: 0-1-0 MARCH Sat. 25 NEW YORK RED BULLS II YouTube T, 3-3 APRIL Sat. 1 FC CINCINNATI YouTube L, 0-1 Sat. 8 @Charleston Battery YouTube W, 2-1 Wed. 12 SAINT LOUIS FC YouTube L, 1-2 Sat. 15 @Charlotte Independence YouTube T, 1-1 Sat. 22 @Richmond Kickers YouTube L, 1-2 Sat. 29 HARRISBURG CITY ISLANDERS YouTube W, 1-0 MAY Wed. 3 TORONTO FC II ESPN3 W, 1-0 Sat. 13 @Ottawa Fury FC YouTube W, 1-0 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round Two Sat. 17 @Chicago FC United US Soccer L, 1-3 Sat. 20 LOUISVILLE CITY FC YouTube L, 0-1 Wed. 24 @Harrisburg City Islanders YouTube T, 0-0 JUNE Sat. 3 ORLANDO CITY B YouTube L, 1-2 Sat. 10 @Toronto FC II YouTube T, 1-1 Sat. 17 @Louisville City FC CW L, 0-3 Thur. 22 TAMPA BAY ROWDIES YouTube W, 2-0 JULY Tue. 4 CHARLOTTE INDEPENDENCE YouTube L, 1-3 Sat. 8 @Orlando City B YouTube T, 0-0 Sat. 15 @Bethlehem Steel FC YouTube T, 1-1 Sat. 22 @Rochester Rhinos YouTube T, 0-0 Wed. 26 CHARLESTON BATTERY YouTube T, 2-2 Sat. 29 @Tampa Bay Rowdies CW L, 0-2 AUGUST Sat. 5 RICHMOND KICKERS YouTube T, 1-1 Sat. 12 @Harrisburg City Islanders YouTube W, 3-0 Sat. 19 @Saint Louis FC YouTube W, 2-1 Sat. 26 BETHLEHEM STEEL FC YouTube W, 3-2 SEPTEMBER Sat. 2 @FC Cincinnati CW T, 1-1 Sat. 9 LOUISVILLE CITY FC YouTube L, 0-3 Sat. 16 ROCHESTER RHINOS YouTube T, 1-1 Sun. 24 @Bethlehem Steel FC YouTube L, 2-3 Sat. 30 @New York Red Bulls II YouTube 4 pm OCTOBER Sat. 7 ROCHESTER RHINOS YouTube 7 pm Sat. 14 OTTAWA FURY FC YouTube 7 pm 2017 Pittsburgh Riverhounds > riverhounds.com > @PghRiverhounds > #NYvPGH LAST TIME OUT Last Game Summary Hounds 2, Bethlehem Steel FC 3 Game 29 Goodman Stadium September 24, 2017 INDIVIDUAL Category Riverhounds Opponent Points 4 - Five tied 4 - Six tied Goals 2 - Four tied 2 - Six tied Assists 2 - Kevin Kerr vs. Bethlehem (8/26) 2 - Wes Charpie, Saint Louis (4/12) 2 - Romeo Parkes vs. Charleston (7/26) Shots 10 - Corey Hertzog vs. Bethlehem (8/26) 6 - Enzo Martinez, Charlotte (7/4) 6 - Cameron Lancaster, Louisville (6/17) SOG 8 - Corey Hertzog vs. Bethlehem (8/26) 6 - Enzo Martinez, Charlotte (7/4) Saves 6 - Macklin Robinson vs. Charlotte (7/4) 11 - Jake McGuire, Bethlehem (8/26) TEAM Hounds High Hounds Low Category Opp High Opp Low 8 - two times 0 - eight times Points 9 - at Bethlehem (9/24) 0 - eight times 3 - three times 0 - eight times Goals 3 - five times 0 - eight times 2 - five times 0 - 12 times Assists 3 - at Bethlehem (9/24) 0 - 12 times 30 - vs. Bethlehem (8/26) 6 - four times Shots 22 - at Louisville (6/17) 6 - vs. Richmond (8/5) 14 - vs. Bethlehem (8/26) 1 - at Louisville (6/17) SOG 9 - vs. Charlotte (7/4) 1 - at Orlando (7/8) 6 - vs. Charlotte (7/4) 0 - vs. Saint Louis (4/12) Saves 11 - vs. Bethlehem (8/26) 1 - two times 17 - at Orlando (7/8) 5 - vs. Charleston (7/26) Fouls 18 - vs. Rochester (9/16) 6 - at Richmond (4/22) SUPERLATIVES CLUB NOTABLES All-Time Leading Goal Scorer ......................................................................
