Light(2) 1H" strips cut into (2) 1H" x 12H" (2) 1H" x 10H" (1) 1H" x 5" (2) 1H" x 3H" (4) 1H" squares(1) 5H" x 5"(2) 2 x 3H" (1) 2" square

Medium(1) 3H" x 10H"(1) 2H"square(1) 2" x 7H"(1) 2" square(2) 2" x 3H"(1) 1H" x 6H"(1) 1H" x 5"(1) 1H" x 3H"

Dark(2) 3H" squares(1) 2H" square

Pinwheel Basket

Triangle Pieced Squares

1. From wrong side of 2H" Med Square, draw one diagonal line.

2. Place right side together to 2H" Dark square.

3. Sew G" from both sides of drawn line.

4. Cut on drawn line. Press seam toward Dark. Square to 2".

4. Repeat with 2" Med and 2" Light square. Square to 1H".

Sewing Handle

1. Place 1½" x 3" strips in order.

2. Flip Light right sides together. Sew G" seam.

3. Sew remaining Light. Press toward Medium.

4. Lay out 1½" x 5" Light, 1½" x 5" Medium and 5½" x 5". Sew strips together. Press toward Medium.

Sewing Top of Handle

1. Lay out Top of Handle pieces. Sew together.

2. Press Center seams in and outer seam away from center.

Sewing Basket

1. Sew Handle to Pinwheel.

2. Add 2" x 7½" Medium to Basket Handle.

3. Sew Patches together.

4. Add Top of Handle to patch.

Making Pinwheel

1. Stack 2" x 3½" Light and Medium.

2. Flip right sides together. Sew.

3. Press Seams open.

4. Place patch right sides together to 3H" Dark squares. Draw diagonal lines.

5. Sew ¼" on both sides of the line.

6. Cut on line and discard bottom pieces.

7. Press toward Dark.

8. Square up patch to 2". Check ¼" seam.

9. Sew Pinwheel.

Discard both bottom halves

Finishing Basket

1. Add Background. Sew sides first, then top and bottom. Press seams away from Basket.

2. Applique notions or add embroidery to Basket.

Bottom Basket

1. Place 1½" squares on 3½" x 10½" Medium.

2. Draw diagonal lines. Sew on lines.

3. Trim ¼" from lines.

4. Press toward Medium.

5. Sew Handle to Bottom Basket.
