Business Unit / Function: Business Development, Category Leadership & Portfolio Analytics

We will exhibit Pinnacle’s Values in our every day interactions and behaviors. Here is our team commitment to each value.

Proactively take the risk to own the solution. Don’t wait to be assigned

Overtime, build honest and open relationships to resolve issues, through continuous/repeated interactions

We owe it to our constituents to tell them what they need to know, not what they want to hear

Business Unit / Function: Dry Marketing DH, Packaging, Market Research

We will exhibit Pinnacle’s Values in our every day interactions and behaviors. Here is our team commitment to each value.

We approve communication across the team by formalizing feedback to broader team coming out of all key meetings (Walmart QPS, Innovation, team meetings). We will communicate hallway conversations and decisions to project manager at the time of the decision

People are not proactively addressing issues, they are holding constructive criticism and not sharing with their counterpart directly. Going forward, we will immediately address the issue when someone is not delivering the issue with a counterpart

There is too much finger-pointing when things go wrong and focusing on the mistakes versus how to fix. Going forward, we will call each other out when this behavior is being expressed and push for solution minded approach. Make sure teams debrief at critical milestones. We don’t celebrate successes enough. Going forward, we will have monthly success lunches for our team to celebrate all the good things we have done.

We need to give constructive feedback, whether positive or negative; feedback must be given “in the moment”. People need to feel comfortable talking to upper management (open door policy). Across teams, we need to have each other’s backs (not just within our own teams).

We need to feel free to speak candidly across the entire organization, not just within Customer Service. We will deliver good and bad news as the situation arises; don’t delay in giving bad news.

Give folks the benefit of the doubt before drawing a conclusion. But, have the necessary conversations and get everything out on the table. Keep conversations positive and fact based. Accept that the feedback is meant with good intentions.

Food Safety, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance

We realize that there are no stupid questions or thoughts. We are comfortable to bring issues forward and will do so. We will engage in more one-to-one, face-to-face conversations where possible. We will encourage one another to have the needed conversations and to raise issues. Hold each other accountable for doing so.

Ownership means to help ensure the success of the team. So, we will think beyond functional and personal objectives. We will be sure to raise issues that might be outside of our area or our direct responsibility. We will work to encourage greater cross-functional communication to help facilitate an understanding of ownership. We will not cut corners nor will we permit cutting corners. However, we will work to find responsible solutions to resolve urgent matters.
