Dear PBA Members, Future Member, and Community Partners

Will you be a “Networking Machine in 2019?”

I recently read a Forbes article titled, ”5 Steps to Become a Networking Machine” The premise of the article was, that even with all the advanced technology, most buying decisions are made from peer recommendations. And that’s primarily done by networking.

So, it’s not just who you know, but who knows you. And if they know you as an expert resource, your phones and emails will always be ringing and pinging. Did you know that some of our PBA peers are those “networking machines”? Entrepreneurs that have made the strategic decision to regularly attend our events and become more involved in our organization. They are also quality people with quality products or services. I know, because I’ve used them and they’ve always delivered on what they’ve promised.

One of the “5 Steps” in the article mentioned above is, Say “hello” often. We’re not talking online here. We’re talking about mapping out a networking plan with a purpose. Making those connections early and often. Attending events frequently enough where ‘Everybody knows your name”. You’ve got to be top of mind when that potential referral is ready to contact someone. I’m working to make that happen for you.

Here’s what I learned my first year as PBA president, “be nimble, stay enthusiastic and collaborate”. With the help of our newly installed board, we’re poised to have a banner year. We’ve got some great speakers and some outstanding business mixers lined up for the year. We’ve designed dynamic new membership levels that are maximized to give you more exposure online and in person. Please, take advantage of these opportunities now to incorporate them into your 2019 business marketing plan.

Like yourself, I’m a local business owner, Visiting Angels, a senior home care service provider. And like you, I looked around the community and thought about where I wanted to build foundations that would create lifelong relationships. I was lucky enough to forge a strong bond with the Pinecrest Business Association that they gave me the opportunity to lead this amazing organization. So, my 2019 goal for the Pinecrest Business Association, is the same that I have for myself, stay connected, meet new people, and create new business opportunities.I’m ready to be that finely tuned “Networking Machine” in 2019”; Are you?
