IMPORTANTE / IMPORTANT • Para evitar cualquier daño al programador,

asegúrese de que los pines de los PICs a programar estén correctamente conectados.

• No coloque la tarjeta programadora sobre superficies metálicas.

• No coloque objetos metálicos sobre la tarjeta.

Antes de utilizar su PIC-600 lea completamente este instructivo, también encontrará información importante en el CD suministrado, guárdelos para futura referencia.

INSTALACIÓN / DRIVER INSTALLATION Asegúrese de que no existe ningún PIC

conectado al programador durante la conexión o desconexión.

Inserte el disco de instalación proporcionado con el PIC-600 en la unidad de CD de su computadora.

Ejecute el programa de instalación según sea su caso Windows 98_ME_2K_XP ó Windows Vista_7 y siga las instrucciones que le aparecerán en pantalla.

Windows 98_ME_2K_XP, al finalizar la instalación:

- Conecte el PIC-600 a su computadora.

- Se ejecutará el “Asistente para hardware nuevo”.

- Seleccione “No por el momento” y presione “Next”.

- Seleccione “Instalar desde una lista o ubicación específica” y presione “Next”.

- Seleccione “Examinar” y busque la carpeta “C:\Archivos de programa\Steren PIC-600\ driver\ driver_98_Me_2k_Xp”

- Si le aparece un mensaje de advertencia acerca del logotipo de Windows XP, presione “Continuar”.

- Presione “Finalizar” para concluir con el proceso.

Windows Vista_7:

- Si le aparece el mensaje “¿Desea ejecutar este archivo?” seleccione “Ejecutar”.

- Si le aparece “Windows no puede comprobar el editor de este software” seleccione “Instalar este software de todas formas”.

- Se recomienda deshabilitar el “Control de Cuentas de Usuario” para facilitar el proceso de instalación y ejecución, búsquelo en “Panel de Control” “Cuentas de Usuario”, de lo contrario tendrá que seleccionar “Si” cada vez que le aparezca la pregunta “Desea permitir que este programa de un publicador desconocido realice cambios en el equipo?”.

IMPORTANTEDespués de instalado su programador PIC-600 es recomendable que primero lo conecte antes de abrir el programa PIC-600, en caso de no hacerlo tendrá que reconocer el programador antes de comenzar a utilizarlo.

Considere que debe tener derechos de Administrador en su computadora para instalar y ejecutar este programa.

Make sure that there is no PIC connected to the programmer during the connection or disconnection.

Insert the installation disk provided with the PIC-600 CD in your computer drive.

Run the Setup program as appropriate Windows 98_ME_2K_XP or Windows vista_7 and follow the instructions on the screen.

Windows 98_ME_2K_XP at the end of the installation:- Connect the PIC-600 to your computer.

- The “new hardware wizard” will be started.

- Select “not at this moment” and press “Next”.

- Select “install from a list or specific location” and click “Next”.

- Select “browse” and look for the folder “c:\Program programa\Steren PIC-600\driver\ driver_98_Me_2k_Xp”

- If get you a message warning about the Windows XP logo, click on “continue”.

- Click “Finish” to complete the process.

Windows Vista_7:- If you get the message “do you want to run this file?” select “run””.

- If you get “Windows cannot verify the Publisher of this software” select “install the software anyway”.

- It is recommended to disable the “User account Control” to facilitate the process of installing and running, look for it in “control Panel > user accounts”, otherwise you will need to select “yes” every time that appears it the “do you want to allow this program from an unknown Publisher to make changes to the system?” question.

Connect the PIC-600 to an available USB port, Open the PIC-600 installed in the menu of programs and as a shortcut on the desktop.

When the software recognize the programmer, next options will display in the Basics tab:

Identify PIC in programmerThis option identify the placed PIC on the base or connected to ICSP port. First, make sure to select the pins in the IC-Socket / ICSP box dialog, and the family in PIC Family box dialog.

Consider that for family 12Fxxx select 16Fxxx in the “pic family” menu.

Select HEX-File as sourceOpen the file to be loaded into the PIC, it must have the .HEX format.

Remove CPRemove the code protection in some cases, it depends if the code protection was installed in the program or while programming.

Erase PICDeletes the program or code in the connected PIC.

Blank checkCheck if the PIC’s memory is empty

Write HEX-File into PICWrites the program previously loaded with the Select HEX-File as source option, into the connected PIC.

Compare PIC with HEX-FileCompares the content of the memory with the previously loaded program.

Read from PIC into new HEX-FileReads the Pic’s memory and save into a new .HEX file, you must enter a name and location for the file.

Target: RunUse this option to switch the PIC to run mode after programming it into the ICSP port. Be careful to insulate the ICSP port from the rest of the circuit where the PIC is installed.

IMPORTANTBefore to run the software, it is recommendable to connect the PIC first, and then open the software, In the event of failure to do so will have to recognize the programmer before starting to use it.

Consider that you must have administrator rights on your computer to install and run this program.

• To avoid damaging your programmer, please ensure pins are connected to the correct side.

• Do not place the PIC-600 over metallic surfaces.

• Do not place metallic objects over the programmer

Conecte el equipo a un puerto USB disponible de la computadora, abra el programa PIC-600 instalado en el menú de programas y como acceso directo en el escritorio.

Una vez ejecutado el programa y reconocido el programador le deben aparecer las siguientes opciones dentro de la pestaña “Basics”:

Identify PIC in programmerIdentifica el PIC insertado en la base ZIF o conectado al puerto ICSP, primero asegúrese de haber seleccionado los pines del PIC en el cuadro “IC-Socket / ICSP” y la familia en el cuadro “PIC Family”.

Considere que para la familia 12Fxxx debe seleccionarse 16Fxxx en el menú “PIC Family”.

Select HEX-File as sourceAbre el archivo que será cargado al PIC, debe tener extensión .HEX

Remove CPQuita la protección de código en algunos casos, depende si la protección del código fue colocada en el programa o durante la programación.

Erase PICBorra el programa o código del PIC insertado o conectado.

Blank checkRevisa que la memoria del PIC está vacía.

Write HEX-File into PICEscribe el programa previamente abierto con la opción “Select HEXFile as source” en la memoria del PIC insertado o conectado.

Compare PIC with HEX-FileCompara el contenido de la memoria del PIC con el programa que se cargó previamente.

Read from PIC into new HEX-FileLee la memoria del PIC y lo guarda en un archivo.HEX nuevo, para lo cual se debe escribir el nombre y la ubicación del nuevo archivo .HEX.

Target: RunÉsta es una opción para poner el PIC en modo de ejecutar cuando se ha programado a través del puerto ICSP, se debe tener mucho cuidado de aislar muy bien el puerto ICSP del resto del circuito donde el PIC está instalado.
