Student Objective Line tag consists of walking on lines

either inside or outside. Dodging the tagger at every turn.

If tagged you can become the tagger or sit down on the spot you were tagged, blocking others from going through. This depends on which version they want to play that day.

This game could go through several taggers throughout the time provided for the game.

Students will The students will distinguish who the

tagger/taggers are and chose which route they may want to take to avoid them.

The more the students play and practice the game, the better they will know how to revise their strategy.

Material needed The only material needed are lines either

outside, or inside a gymnasium. inside outside

Preparation

Must have the gym or outside court cleared of any object so that there is open room for the game.

Activity Description Introductory fitness activity:Series of stretches done for 10 minutes before game begins. This will losen everyone up and warm them up for the game of line tag.Lesson Activity:After warming up, the teacher will chose a student/students to be the tagger/taggers for the first game. The game should last 30 minutes with several different taggers throughout that time. No equipment needed. Closing Activity:Ask students if they enjoyed the game.End with a cool down of stretching matching beginning stretches.

Assessment Activity

If students are understanding and following the rules of the game, then the teacher will know if they are grasping the idea of the lesson plan.

Accommodations/Success for all:

Increase difficulty:-Have multiple taggers at one time-Make parameter smaller-Once tagged, sit in spot in which you were tagged

Decrease difficulty:-One tagger-Bigger space for game (use whole gym)-Once tagged, you become the tagger
