THOUGHTS FROM THE BOARD by Lisa Mark

Hello, it is my great pleasure to greet you as the president of

PhillyDMA. Hoping everyone is ready for another summer and is looking forward to it as much as I am. And to kick off our summer, the PhillyDMA has a fresh new look and format for our newsletter! We want to share more photos of our events, highlight our membership, and invite you to send us your photos.

I was thrilled to see so many of our members and new faces attend our various Coffee Talk Series. They have been a huge success with great excitement and turnout. I want to express my gratitude to our Coffee Talk speakers thus far, Miguel Ferry, Julian Barkat, Lisa Formica, Dennis Fish and Lynda Taylor, who all went above and beyond to provide informative content and ideas! Keep an eye out for our upcoming Coffee Talk dates. If you would like to be one of our Coffee Talk speakers, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or one of the board members.

Welcome to our newly joined members! PhillyDMA is very happy to welcome you and we look forward to seeing you at our events and seminars. PhillyDMA is looking to increase its membership base and is currently working on a membership campaign but can always use your help. If you would like to increase your participation within the PhillyDMA , particularly helping with our membership endeavors, please let us know.

We are constantly updating the PhillyDMA website - www.phillydma.org - the internet home of our organization — where you will find news and our schedule of events. So be sure to check it often so you are informed of what’s going on. And make sure to follow us…

May you have a fun filled happy summer, Lisa R Mark, President PhillyDMA, Philadelphia’s source for Direct Marketing.

Originating in 2018, The PhillyDMA’s Coffee Talk Series offers networking

opportunities to PhillyDMA members and industry leaders. During each event, a direct marketing leader presents on a current marketing topic, which typically leads to an open discussion over coffee and breakfast. The Coffee Talks create a space for direct marketing peers and leaders to come together and keep in-step with today’s marketing trends. Coffee Talks are held throughout the year with our next talk, “Digital Data is Not Just for Digital Marketing: How to Harness Digital Data Legally to Increase Acquisition”with Dave Cesaro, scheduled for June 20th.

Direct Marketer of the Year — Nick Lanzi Nick Lanzi never forgets his humble beginnings in the business as an account with Devon Direct. Now, an entrepreneurial leader of Direct Choice, Nick is the embodiment of what makes the Philadelphia’s direct marketing scene more collaborative than competitive.

The personal touch Nick puts into client relationships and his management style has allowed him to create a thriving business and award-winning team. In 2017, Direct Choice was recognized as part of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Soaring 76, honoring the 76 fastest growing companies in the Greater Philadelphia area. That same year, his agency was included in the Philadelphia 100, a merit-based award given to the region’s fastest growing, privately-held companies.

2019 Future Business Leader — Victoria NoboaVictoria Noboa has always been a problem solver, constantly balancing being analytical and creative is what she does best.

In 2017, Victoria joined ICS Corporation. As ICS began to evolve, Victoria found her niche in developing the foundation of ICS’s Marketing Division. Today, she is responsible for working with ICS’s client base to find new and innovative ways to utilize direct mail as part of an omni-channel strategy.

Supplier of the Year — Square OneThe Team at Square One has been a long-standing ambassador to the Direct Marketing Community. They continue to make contributions to the PhillyDMA and the industry on all levels.

Square One is a national marketing logistics company servicing direct mail agencies and corporate America since 1994. They deliver increased response rates for B2C and B2B campaigns through secure data management, targeting messaging and multi-touch programs.

Square One’s single-source technical and production capabilities provide stress relief for the over stretched, busy marketer. From automated programs to complex direct mail packages with reduced program costs and accelerated approach to messaging delivery to market.

After all, we are all connected with just a few clicks away.

The board has been working diligently with the launch of our new format newsletter, planning our July 15 golf outing, developing Coffee Talks, scheduling membership activities, coordinating events with DMAW and educational events for students with Drexel University LeBow College of Business, and of course reeling off of our 2019 Benny Awards program.

May you have a fun filled happy summer, Lisa R Mark, President PhillyDMA, Philadelphia’s source for Direct Marketing.
