Oodie the Greinersaurus has been helping hospital facilities to train their staff for years and now he is back to help patients have a pleasant and calm experience in the hospital or doctor’s office.

What does this program include?• “Oodie Goes to the Hospital” Book

This entertaining and colorful book “Oodie Goes to the Hospital” can be read to the patient by a parent or caregiver while holding the child during venipuncture or fingerstick. This story provides the patient with information about their blood and why samples are needed in a way that children can easily understand using a cartoon character, Oodie the Greinersaurus. This book is also laminated and spiral bound for long term use and allows for decontamination when moving from room to room.

• “Oodie Goes to the Hospital” MovieThe storybook is transformed into a short film that can be shown on any computer, smartphone or tablet. This allows the child to watch a video of the story during the procedure.

• Oodie BandageWhen the procedure is over, give your brave patient a reward with an Oodie Bandage. This will remind them of the new friend they made!

• Oodie Wall PosterThis wall poster explains who Oodie is and can be used as a training tool for your phlebotomists to remind them of the proper capillary order of draw.

• Proper Skin Puncture Tip CardThis laminated tip card is small enough to be carried around in a pocket for easy access to remind hospital staff of the proper procedure for skin puncture and provide tips and tricks to help young patients through a blood collection procedure.
