During any level of testing, the Test Design phase is very essential and it normally involves a lot of manual effort. 6. Technology PropositionPeopleSoft Testing Accelerator Kit (PTAK) introduces the concept of reusable components for Test Design phase. This construct drastically reduces test maintenance and improves test creation efficiency. All the PeopleSoft pages, buttons, common functions and the GUI functions in the application tool bar are captured as a business component and the customer has the option of utilizing any one or more business component combinations in order to create complete, end-to-end business process tests.

PTAK gives the option of utilizing any one or more PeopleSoft screen combinations in order to create complete, end-to-end business process tests. These combinations are used as building blocks to describe the overall business process. Within each of the PeopleSoft screens, numerous PeopleSoft views are broken down into manageable, reusable components. These components are combined and recombined to meet the business process testing needs of customers.

Components have been divided into pieces of functionality that are not only optimized to keep them large and manageable, but also small enough so that if users want to “branch” their functionality they can do so without creating additional PeopleSoft Screen Components. The components are developed based on transaction level test branching. We can modify or create complex testing streams using Mercury Business Process Testing’s drag-and-drop functionality.

Overall, it is a comprehensive set of ready made test scenarios and detailed test cases for PeopleSoft with around 700+ ready made scenarios and 3000+ business components. It is independent of any region, and platform which can be quickly customized to suit specific needs, thereby saving time.
