Please Pray for Our Church Body of Christ, We the Members of (Jericho) The City of Praise Church in Landover, Maryland ask that you join us in corporate prayer. For over 2 years, our church has been under attack by outside forces who really want our property. We believe that God’s church is not property. God’s church is the people. In short, six employees have taken control over the church by falsely claiming to be the rightly elected board. The Court of Special Appeals has rejected their claim. We believe that they are working with Mike Freeman to take our property.

Mike Freeman if you have no designs on our property, PLEASE be honorable and SAY SO! Do not operate in the Shadows.

Every fact presented here can be verified with documents found at http://www.peopleofpraisemd.com FACT - From 1962-2008, the only time the Board of Jericho Baptist Church Ministries was changed was because of replacement due to death.

FACT - June 2003, Apostle Betty Peebles named Joel Peebles Assistant Pastor.

FACT - At the blessing of James Peebles and Betty Peebles, Joel Peebles began preaching at the City of Praise Church.

FACT - March 29, 2009, While Apostle Betty Peebles was ill, employees deceived longstanding board members & secretly replaced them by having them sign themselves off the board unknowingly. Pastor Joel who served on the board as Vice President for over 12 years was given no notice of this meeting.

FACT -Apostle Betty Peebles’ Last Will & Testament is rewritten just weeks before she enters the hospital, which left her on respirator for 5 weeks. At this time no one with the last name Peebles had access to her.

FACT – When Pastor Joel Peebles is being fired and escorted from the Church that he grew up in and helped build, the police do not

take any major action before consulting Mike Freeman.

FACT - Employees who claimed that Apostle Betty wanted them to control the church, blocked Joel Peebles and the Peebles family from having access to Apostle Betty Peebles during her final months of life.

FACT - Joel Peebles had to contact the authorities in order before these employees would allow him and to see his mother.

FACT - In November 2009, Pastor Joel Peebles could not find his mother because she had been admitted into the hospital under the name of Betty Wooten. The maiden name of Dee-Dee Freeman the wife of Pastor Mike Freeman is Wooten.

FACT - When Pastor Joel Peebles found his mother, the first words she spoke to her only surviving son were, “Joey, where have you been?”

FACT - When Pastor Joel Peebles negotiated the contract with the Washington Redskins for parking, the church was paid with a check that could be easily tracked. When the unelected rogue board negotiated the contract, they decided to manage the parking lots as Cash Only. They refuse to report how much money they have collected from the cash only parking lots.

FACT - September 2010, just 1 month before Apostle Betty Peebles died, Denise Killen, Clarence Jackson & Dorothy Williams three employees who serve on the unelected board gave themselves raises in excess of $20,000.
