wearleisureIt‘s during harsh, cold winter days

when we seek it most - comfor-table clothing that keeps us warm

while strolling around at home. But wearing pieces at home doesn‘t mean you have to forego your usu-al style. There‘s a wide choice of different looks to choose from, ran-ging from rather cute and fluffy, to wild and furry, to sleek and edgy. It‘s all up to you and your mood. And if you‘re all lovey-dovey, why not trying some partner look at home?

Leisurewear starts at your socks and ends at your hat - so there‘s much in between. How about try-ing some earmuffs at home? Or a very balloony harem pants? Your home - your rules. The perfect place for being a little over the top and experimenting with styles you wouldn‘t dare to wear on the street. Also, try combining different fa-brics - jersey, knits, fur, flannel ... here, too, the options are manifold.

We look for them, we try them on, we buy them and we wear them. Clothes give us self-confi-dence, they help us achieving our goals, they

protect us and show who we are. Sometimes we can‘t let go of a certain piece of clothing until it‘s falling apart, just because we really grew attached to it. Yes, clothes are important to us. But where do they come from? Who are the people behind our favorite brands?

Today I‘m going to shed some light on this mystery. I‘ve contacted Luis Lee, CEO of our beloved Korean brand DEEPSTYLE and he actually agreed to have an interview with me! I feel so honored! And I‘m so excited to share these information with you, gentlemen - so please wel-come with me: Mr. Luis Lee!

First of all, how about introducing yourself to my readers, Mr. Lee?Well, i‘m a bit shy to talk about myself with others. Be-cause i‘m not a special person. I‘m a very normal person like you and others. But I love fashion so much.

How would you describe the spirit behind Deepstyle?I would say “Free your Mind”. There is no correct way in fashion. I‘m trying to go all the ways I want in my job. My job is good when there are good reactions from my cus-tomers. But I‘m very happy to show my customers what I want to say through fashion.

What sets Deepstyle apart from other fashion labels? Is it looking that different from other fashon labels? I‘m not sure, but if I compare it with other Korean fahion labels on Yesstyle, I would say that we are showing our style in a stronger way. Like shouting. Other brands show and offer wearable lifestyle clothing. But I want to show and describe our product and style to our customer more dramatically with strong images.

Where do you get your inspiration from? From all the things and people around me? Movies, Peo-ple, artworks, travels. So many thing inspire me. I really like to see other artist‘s work. It is very important and also one of my biggest pleasures.

Imagine the typical Deepstyle customer. What is he like?I imagine deepsyle customers to be more self concious and doing their job professionally.

Deepstyle is one of very few Korean fashion labels to de-liver to the international market. How important are in-ternational customers to you and how did you decide on going international?Well, the Korean market is very small for the style deep-style wants to sell, actually. I wanted to sell our products to the market outside of Korea. Taking a chance, we star-

ted selling our goods through Yesstyle.com two years ago, as you know. Now we are one of the best sellers of yesstyle‘s online shop. I think it was a good chance to test our style on the international market. It gave me confidence to start our international online shop.

The Hallyu, the Korean wave, has taken Asia by storm. But Korean pop culture is gaining popularity in Europe and America as well. Are K-Pop stars and actors from Korean tv dramas and their cutting-edge fashion jointly responsible for Deepstyle‘s success?Well, I hope that Korean fashion can secure its position on the international market regardless of Hallyu. The storm of Hallyu will be gone some day. I cannot help but admit that Hallyu brings us a good effect while approa-ching the international market.

Who‘s your favorite Hallyu star and why?I‘m not sure wether he is a Hallyu star or not. I Like So ji-Sup. A Korean actor. It‘s becuase he is very stylish.

Deepstyle also has its own facebook page with up-to-date information about new collections and models. How im-portant are social platforms to you? It‘s important to me. To Promote our products and to in-troduce our style and photoshoots. And i hope that our fans who love deepstyle participate at our facebook more actively. I think we can offer better services to our customers on facebook.

Where do you get your models from? Do you scout them on the streets? We scout on the streets or in clubs. And through audi-tions. But I perfer professional models over amateur mo-dels. But if a model can show what I want to tell, it would not be a matter.

How about “western” models? Can my readers consider it possible to be a Deepstyle model someday?Actually we are looking for western models. But the-re is a problem: no western model stays in Korea long enough.

Looking ahead, where do you see Deepstyle in a couple of years?Well, I hope that we do have a retail store in Seoul or in other countries. It‘s just my dream.

And last but not least: do you have a fashion advice for my readers?Well. I would say try everything, take every way you want. And find a style that fits you.

Again, thanks so much, Mr. Lee, for taking the time to answer all of my questions! It was so interesting!

WinterPatternWhat‘s winter season without them?

Cheerful, nostalgic patterns, depicting snowflakes, reindeers and christmas

trees. Written off as tasteless and corny, the-se patterns now have a triumphant comeback embellishing sweaters, pants, cardigans, socks, scarfs, hats and gloves, adding playfulness and color to cold and dull winter days.

When combining an outfit with these elaborate patterns, try using only one patterned piece and keep the rest plain. Though, the pattern may very well recur on accessories or your socks and thus display your great sense of fashion.top,

Whatever you chose - make sure to be pre-pared with a special outfit. Maybe even something that you wouldn‘t usualy wear. How about lea-ther pants? Frill shirts? Bow ties? Patent leather shoes?
