I i~I =Ud~:~l ;] ;]1:1 PCI to Host 2008 Coating Show The Powder Coating Institute (PCI; Alexandria, Va.) announced plans to hold Coating 2008, a multiple fin- ishing technologies conference and exhibition, from Sept. 23 to 25, 2008, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. PCI said the event will be positioned as the premier technical conference and trade show for the North American finishing industry. Planning for the Coating 2008 conference and trade show will be addressed by the PCI trade show committee, board of directors, and staff in the next few months, the Institute said. More information will be circulated throughout the industry as it is developed. It was also announced that PCI and a number of supporting members will not sponsor or participate in a finishing trade show in 2007. MFN to Become A Partner in Education in Nadcap Nadcap and MFN have agreed to recognize and pro- mote the cooperation between the two organizations in areas of common interest according to their pur- pose, namely aerospace special process assessment. The cooperation will be known as "Partners in Education" and intend- ed to create synergy, making optimal use of the resources available, for the accreditation related activities offered by both organizations so as to provide an effective and efficient service to the aerospace industries in the world. It is intended also to facilitate mutual benefits between the two organizations. The agreement between Nadcap and MFN was made official on Dec. 15, 2005 at the PRI Europe office in London. It was signed by Arshad Hafeez (left), director of global business operations for industry managed programs, research & development at PRI, and Steven Baiker (right), publisher of MFN. The two organizations will work together to host educational seminars, courses and workshops. They will use their resources to offer the best possible educational program for critical processes, namely shot peening, MFN said. Hafeez remarked, "with MFN, we have found a partner who shares our philosophies and offers us a platform to inform and communicate with our clients even better than before."
