There are two new coaches for the girl Wolverines this year. They are Torey Issen-
dorf and Rick Gilsdorf. Torey is coaching the varsity and Rick is coaching
the B-squad. Torey was the B-squad boys’ coach last year, but he got pro-
moted to head coach for the varsity girls. Rick was an assistant parent coach last year. He
has been active in coaching, and his daughter, Kendra, plays on the team. They hope to use
their coaching skills to the girls this year and have a successful season. The two seniors this
year are Rachael and Jamie.
We can look forward to their first two games on Thursday, December 4 at Battle
Lake and a home game on December 5 against Wheaton. The Wheaton game is sure to
have lots of Wolverine fan support since it’s the only game that night.

The boys started practice on Monday, November 10. They are working really hard
to get ready for their first game on December 4 against Hancock at home. Their next game
is December 9 vs. Hillcrest at home. There are 18 boys out for basketball in grades 9-12
this year including five seniors who are out for the team.
The seniors are Ryan, Michael, Dillon, Zak and Tanner. The coaches for the boys are Cal Lillehaug
and assistant coach, Brice Hoffman. They practice from 3:30 to 5:30 every night in the high school gym.
They have a good record of 500 with 0 wins and 0 losses. They hope everyone can come out
and support them at both the home and away games!
Good luck to the boys on the up coming season!
Jordan's favorite athlete is the one and only Denver Bronco’s Peyton Manning, aka “The Sheriff.” He
just set a new NFL record for touchdown passes in a career at 509! He surpassed Brett Favre, who had 508
touchdowns! People say Peyton Manning is a sure ballot Hall of Famer at 38 years old!
He is still playing football even after four neck surgeries! At his age he
is considered “too old,” but the way he plays he looks like he is fresh out of
college at 25 years old! Manning even says this season that he feels better than
he ever did, even at 25!
Manning has been in the league for 16 years playing in Indianapolis
from his rookie season in 1998-2011. He was drafted by the Colts in the first
pick in that draft! He played college football at Tennessee. Good luck to the
Broncos the rest of this NFL season!
Jordan Bauer is this week’s athlete!! Jerd just finished up his 2014 football

The Carrie Diaries By: Morgan Nordly
The Carrie Diaries is a prequel to the TV
series Sex and the City. The show is about Carrie
Bradshaw finding her way into the writing industry
through an internship at Interview Magazine. Her
father got her an internship and a high class law
office, but little did he know she was sneaking off
to work at a top magazine company in Manhattan.
The series has a lot of boys, drama, par-
ties and life lessons. This
show displays the hardships
that a single father of two
teenage daughters goes
through. The Carrie Diaries stars Anna Sophia Robb and
airs on Netflix.
The 26-episodes fea-
ture a younger Samantha
also.
Harry and Lloyd set out on an adventure
to find one of Harry’s long lost daughters in hope
of gaining a new kidney. Jim Carrey stars as Lloyd
Christmas and Jeff Daniels stars as Harry Dunne.
Dumb and Dumber To is a prequel to the previ-
ous Dumb and Dumber and Dumb and Dumber-er that came out about 20 years ago. To make the
situation more interesting, Lloyd falls in love
again, but this time it is with Harry’s daughter.
It took months of speculation, but in Oc-
tober of 2011, the Farrelly
brothers finally agreed that they
would make a sequel. As of
October 1, 2012, they reported
that a script was made and now
it has finally come out!
Everybody who has
seen the movie thinks it is hilar-
ious—even “betterer” than the
other two.
