ATP is Not…

• A fund raising committee

• A committee that spearheads events without an academic

link like the following: Homecoming, Trunk or Treat,

Santa Breakfast, etc.

• These activities have a climate of partnership, so may go

on the One Year Plan’s goal 4 section

Why ATP? • Work with parents as partners in helping students achieve

academic success

• Provide opportunity for parents in leadership roles at

school

• Increase parent & community involvement at school

• Create a more welcoming environment where parents and

community members feel connected to the school

• Partner with members of the community to benefit students

and their families

• Work collaboratively with school staff, administrators,

parents, students and community members
