It gives us great pleasure to present to you the new Partners’ Guide for the National Federations published by the FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre.

We hope that this 7th edition allows every stakeholder to find useful information on FIBA approved products and services. The aim of the Equipment & Venue Centre has always been to raise the standards for the playing conditions in basketball.

This should be beneficial for the venue operators, the event organizers, the fans, and - last but not least - for the athletes. Players deserve to play on top equipment and it is the responsibility of the equipment producers - in cooperation with us - to look after the security and health of the athletes.

This publication should also provide assistance and support to the national federations, clubs, municipalities and governments that have a common interest in the building and refurbishment of safe sports infrastructures within their countries.

Sports venues with quality and safe equipment, especially in view of the new FIBA competition system 2017 onwards, can only enhance the development of our sport.

Founded in 1993, the FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre was born from the belief that an increase in quantity and quality of worldwide sports premises would serve as a major catalyst for the growth and development of the sport of basketball.

It promotes the construction of basic indoor and outdoor facilities, while actively encouraging the refurbishment of older ones.

The FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre also offers consulting services for sports venues design and construction.

With the assistance of 80 partners and associates, involved in one or several of the below categories, it provides norms for local and international competition, setting a high standard of quality and safety of the equipment related to the sport of basketball for the athletes, the public and the media.

Artistport - RED 15

RED15 is the essence of design and functionality. It is the first basketball structure in its category that lumps the importance of design and performance together. It has been designed and projected in all its parts with accurate care by a team of experts in design and engineers who have developed this majestic and sculptural object that becomes the protagonist of the basketball court. RED15 represents the state of art in the market. The monolithic arm hides the moving mechanical system and the protections wrap up at 360° degrees the basement, resulting in a stable and at the same time dynamic object. RED15 is activated by an electric oleodynamic (hydraulic) system thanks to which the whole system can be easily moved in the three operative positions: basket, mini basket and rest. The system, while being in the rest position, can be easily relocated thanks to the 4 casters of which two are swivel. The crystal backboard can be adjusted perpendicularly or in parallel with the floor. The ballast of 800 Kg guarantees a high level of stability and safety. RED15 exceeds the authorities’ certificates requests thanks to the basement that has been fully covered with protections to guarantee a higher level of safety during the game.

Referees and officials can review incidents from up to 16 different HD camera angles at the same time from a single touchscreen.
