OUR NEW PARISH OFFICE
We are pleased to announce that the New Parish Office will
open on Tuesday 6th June. Access will be via the door at the
entrance to the new Pavilion. The Parish Office is more than
a parish administrative centre, for many people it is a place
of first contact with our parish.
We would like to thank our dedicated parish secretaries Vivienne and Brenda for their
kindness and support to parishioners and priests over many years. Please be patient
with us as it will take a week or two to have the office back online!
DUNDRUM TOWN CENTRE have this week installed a ticket-car barrier system in
the Car Park beside the church. The system will be similar to the ‘old
village car park’. Free Parking will be available only at Mass times.
Entry to the car park will be via the main St
EXIT from the car park will be onto the Dundrum by-pass
With the kind permission of the Board of Management of Holy Cross

Ecumenical Bible Week takes place from Pentecost (4th June)
to Trinity Sunday. There’s a wide variety in the programme this year,
including a Symposium on the Reformation and Thinking Allowed It
is recommended to book for the Symposium which will be held on
Friday, 9th June, from 2.00pm, chaired by Archbishop Michael Jack-
son) consists of two papers and a discussion. Prof. Tony Lane will
open the proceedings with a discussion of the agreed statement on
justification, signed by the World Lutheran Federation and the Roman
Catholic Church. The second paper, by Prof Salvador Ryan, asks the
question “How should we remember the Reformation?”
The Thinking Allowed event, also on Friday 9th at 7.30 pm, offers
again reflections, this time from four different traditions. They will all
respond to one question: Is the Reformation over? All details are on
www.bibleweek.ie
This year for Ecumenical Bible Week, we are delighted to offer a very
user friendly series of reflections on Scripture called Hearing,
Happening and Hoping. The Scripture Reflections are based on the
readings for Pentecost and Trinity Sunday and a mid-week reflection
based on Psalm 148. They are easy to use and allow the reader to en-
gage more fully with God’s Word and provide an opportunity to hear
and listen to what God is saying. We hope parishes will make these
available for people during Bible Week 2017. They can be download-
ed from: www.bibleweek.ie/hearing-happening-hoping/

Come, Spirit who is our Light.
Shine among the shadows within.
Warm and transform our hearts.
Come, Spirit who makes a home in us.
Draw us to the treasures of your dwelling.
Reveal to us the inner journey of love.
Come, Spirit, Comforter and Consoler.
Heal the wounded. Soothe the anxious.
Be consolation for all who grieve and ache.
Come, Spirit who energizes our being.
Keep us from the tangles of toil and travail.
Lead us to moments of prayer and play.
Come, Spirit, consuming Fire of Love.
Fill us with enthusiasm for your vision.
May the desire for truth be vibrant within us.
Come, Spirit, joy of our souls.
Dance amid life’s hills and valleys,
Encircle us with the delights of your dance.
Come, Spirit of wisdom and insight.
Draw us into your goodness and light.
Direct our growth and guide our ways.
Come, Spirit, strength of wounded ones.
Be warmth in hearts of those grown cold.
PRAYER BEFORE AN EXAM Dear Lord, as I take this exam, I thank you that my value is not
based on my performance, but on your great love for me.
Come into my heart so that we can walk through this time together. Help me, not only with this test,
but with the many tests of life that are sure to come my way.
As I take this exam, bring back to mind everything I have studied and be gracious with
what I might have overlooked. Help Me to remain focused and calm, confident in the facts and in my ability, and firm in the
knowledge that no matter what happens today you are there with me. Amen
